  • Yes but you can be unnecessarily ambiguous in your language leaving readers to freely interpret your intention. This is what happened here, you made an assumption that everyone would interpret your statement in the way in which you intended. Evidence has demonstrated that your assumption was incorrect.

    It therefore raises the question about intention: is your intention to educate or needlessly blab? Users have called out your error but you stand by your bullheaded incorrect opinion.

    You're being unnecessarily inflammatory, and ambiguous. You may have an opinion contrary to the fact, but opinions can also be dumb.

  • I suppose when you apply the principle of risk management and compliance management it's easy to pick up on issues like this and further develop processes which deal with these risks.

    I think with even limited verification processes and human intervention these issues could have been mitigated. This is especially in light that the victims went beyond filling out of an electronic form.
