  • There’s a good reason for that. It’s a de facto sovereign nation and the lack of acknowledgement cools the temperature in Beijing. There would be wide bipartisan support for protecting Taiwan, as opposed to Ukraine because a significant portion of Republicans and tankies like Russia for two very, very different reasons

  • Go protest against Hamas and Netanyahu. They’re the only ones actually killing people. The U.S. stood by its allies. Hamas fucked around and found out. They wanted Netanyahu to overreact and level Gaza. What should the U.S. do? Hold an ally at gunpoint and say “don’t fight back”?

Biden’s administration is advocating for a two-state solution. A Trump administration would advocate for nothing for Palestine.

But sure, go ahead and enable Trump to make things worse. I honestly don’t know how you folks sleep at night. Ignorance must be one hell of a sedative.

  • Lmao how ignorant. When was the last time the U.S. Senate was so overwhelmingly controlled by Democrats? Do you honestly not know anything about US civics? Obama didn’t have 60 votes to enact his version of healthcare reform without major concessions that inevitably lead to Republicans criticizing it as failed legislation when THEY WERE THE ONES WHO ARE MOSTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR DESTROYING IT.

Show me a pathway to 60 votes that Democrats had in any year starting from 1971. There isn’t one. And it’s because conservatives show up to vote and pissant commies like yourself can’t seem to understand the very basics of how our government functions and why it is the way that it is. It’s not because of liberals. It’s because of decades and decades of conservatives obstructing any meaningful reforms.

  • It very well could stop, though. The MAGA movement is on life support. Republicans are losing state-wide elections and referendums. They’re losing previously red states and gaining none in return. In November, we have a chance to reelect a President who they call senile. One more loss to the guy who, in their minds, doesn’t even know where he is, would be the end of the national MAGA movement. But if they win, then it’s time to start panicking. Now is the time to organize against Trump

  • People have said that in the 1910s, late 1920s, late 1930s, late 1940s all the way up until the early 1990s, and then we started saying it for other reasons like climate change and AI. It’s always possible, but honestly not likely. The end of globalization will have some severe effects across the world like massive famine in countries that keep reproducing with no food security, but I don’t think we should constantly declare the sky is falling when we’ve proven just how resilient the world is in the wake of an all-out pandemic and supply chain crisis
