  • Better for the environment for sure, but less people would leave many countries bankrupt because of high senior care costs. I mean, they could just allow immigration, but that’s not gonna happen. It’s funny how the US benefits so much from immigration and yet half the country doesn’t want it

  • Trump keeps ruining US politics. Until his movement dies, the progressive movement is on hold. Enough moderates will prop up candidates like Clinton and Biden. The progressives can vote 3rd party, but at the risk of seeing the Supreme Court fucked for decades more and the executive branch becoming uncontrollable.

I’m a moderate liberal myself but I think it’s wild to assume America doesn’t need a bit more socialism. I don’t see how anyone in the lower middle and lower class can effectively raise children.

Honestly that’s probably the best selling point to progressives to vote for Biden. Killing the MAGA movement for good will allow them to unpause their own movement

  • My mom believes it and told me at her Bible studies they all talk about how God put Trump on Earth to protect America. So there’s that. It’s mostly old ass Christians, but unfortunately for us America is mostly old ass Christians because the Baby Boomer generation was FUCKING HUGE. Hats off to the leftist Christians who actually understand Jesus’ teachings

  • There are four big things that are making life shitty for those who find themselves in the lower class.

1: High housing costs. This could be resolved with zoning reform and more public investments in housing. Liberals would work to resolve these issues while conservatives will be their NIMBY selves and refuse to support public housing

2: High price of goods. Compounded by an internal labor shortage that could be alleviated by not demonizing immigrants and a series of wars that have put a strain on global trade, as well as the massive supply chain disruptions brought about by the pandemic, inflation was a given. It will take time to resolve itself, but it could be resolved more quickly if Congress could investigate corporations making record profits. That won’t happen when Republicans have as much sway as they do.

    1. Minimum wage being stagnant. The only places have raised minimum wage have been in blue parts of the country. Republicans will always refuse to raise minimum wage. They will always support businesses paying the least amount of money possible.
    2. Old-fashioned racism and sexism. Guess which party is working to revoke and has already revoked protections that prevent biased hiring and equal opportunity?

Things won’t get better unless Republicans have zero say in how the country is governed. A 20 seat lead in the house and a 2 seat lead in the Senate is not enough when Congress is full of Manchins and Sinemas. An overwhelming blue wave could and would produce real change in the country, but it won’t happen unless we mobilize early and fight for our rights.

  • I hope he comes in third so his losers rally behind Haley. I know Trump will win the nomination, but I hope Haley wins enough states to lengthen the primary just enough that it drives Trump even crazier. The longer he focuses his ire on his fellow Republicans, the better the chances of him being defeated.

I’m voting for Haley in the primary and I hope that you all join me (if you live in an open primary state that is). Just be sure to mention you need a Republican ballot. You can wash your mouth out with soap later

  • I actually like that about the Democrat Party. Shows how ideologically diverse it is because tolerance is a bedrock of the party ever since the two parties switched from being conservative and liberal. The GOP flipped within four years from being neocons to isolationists, and anyone who disagrees with the current identity is a RINO

  • She’s just parroting other conservatives when she says this shit. She doesn’t really know anything. She’s legitimately the dumbest person in Congress. It’s not even close. Gosar is the dumbest doctor but still a doctor. Tuberville at least knows how to coach college football, for what that’s worth. And MTG is probably twice as smart as Boebert, which still makes MTG the second dumbest person in Congress.

  • I voted for Republicans because I was worried about our national debt. I will literally never make that mistake again. Holy shit the GOP is the worst when it comes to national debt. The Democrats are the only ones who can balance a budget. Republicans just run up the deficit and then blame the Dems for out of control government spending that they either voted for, or voted against and take credit for when it has positive impacts for their districts.
