  • I find they’re actually more informed and their reasoning does have some logic to it. I keep getting frustrated on things because it seems to me like the left is losing because they really are less informed and reality based.

You need to take a step back and consider your sources, because you're starting to sound like you're falling for the propaganda yourself.

"Reality-based" has a meaning and it walks a close line near "evidence-based". Evidence-based scientific studies have repeatedly confirmed that right-wing media consumers are less informed about reality than those that consume no media.

Sure, right-wing media consumers might have a better idea in the current moment what Trump might do next because in some cases it's difficult to tell if Fox is working for Trump or Trump is working for Fox. But that has nothing to do with Trump or his policies being reality-based. It has to do with consistency within their talking points and propaganda.

Reality is still reality, and the reality is that Trump attacked a sovereign nation without authorization from Congress. The reality is that we've been in a constitutional crisis for months now, and that the Republicans in Congress are abdicating their duty of oversight on the executive branch. I guarantee they aren't covering that on Fox News.

  • I think when the surgery is good, nobody notices it.

I think some of them (weirdly) strive to look like they've had plastic surgery. It's like a marking of their status or something.

There's some mixture of an uncanny valley and/or Habsburg jaw effect to the women that surround Trump in particular.

When I heard Kristi Noem had to be rushed to the hospital due to an allergic reaction, my first thought was that it was from some type of cosmetic procedure she was having.

  • This is just one man's opinion but fake tits, bad nose jobs, or filler face often completely destroy a woman's attractiveness. Filler face is to women's faces what boob jobs used to be to their bodies. They look like trash and I understand that most of them are doing it for the delight of the dog shit monied douche set. So, have fun with that I guess.

I also understand that these women don't owe me anything and it's their bodies to alter and their lives to live, but that's my opinion.

I wouldn't be surprised if there becomes a "fetish" for natural women's faces just like there's a "fetish" for natural tits.

  • Yeah, I mean look at Cuomo for mayor. Keeping around provably corrupt politicians became more common most notably with Donald Trump but it applies now to both parties.

Cuomo shouldn't be able to run for dog catcher after his actions, and yet he's there at the top of the polls and getting endorsements from other establishment figures.

  • Yeah I'm not a huge fan of their recent "direction" either, but it actually would've been a lot more innovative for Nintendo to offer a headless switch in a tiny form factor. Maybe that's just the old, highly innovative ways of Nintendo going by the wayside.

It's a shame because Nintendo is a lot more accessible from a "casual gamer" perspective. I've even gotten my parents to play switch and wii games over the years. I don't think they'd ever touch an xbox or ps.

  • Give me a Switch without a screen. No battery. No detachable controllers. Just a brick that plugs into the wall and the TV, compatible with a Pro controller. Probably could even sell that at a reduced price too. Maybe even overclock it and give it a bigger cooling solution to get better performance. Maybe Nintendo’s newer games can actually run at a stable 60 fps on their own hardware finally.

I'm actually in the same boat. I hardly ever play the switch in handheld mode. It is incredibly uncomfortable for anyone over the age and/or hand size of a 12 year old. The form factor is terrible for mobile use IMO. Even when we don't play the switch docked on the TV, we have taken to playing it plugged into a small USB-C monitor on a side table in front of the couch.

I really wish Nintendo would offer a different option like you're saying here. The only thing that's nice about the Switch form factor is the size for portability IMO. Scrap the screen (and probably even the battery) and offer an option that's as small as (or even smaller than) one of those NUC-looking mini PCs that are all the rage nowadays.

  • Disappointing to say the least.

My wife loves the switch but has gone through 3 or 4 different sets of controllers. I tried my hand at repairing one of them and it was not fun -- to put it mildly -- and I do not savor repeating the experience. I honestly did not know there were hall effect replacements for the original joycon sticks, and wish I had known that when I replaced the one I did.
