  • Well, in a small community you probably want to see usernames. But in home/all with exposure to a large number of lemmy users and posts, the user just doesn't really matter as much. Adding username to home/all by default would just be noise in the UI for most users.

    That being said there is a feature request to make a setting for this in github.
