  • You can disable the comment collapsing, but then you can't collapse comments.

Otherwise if you create a Github issue I can try expanding the tap area to make it more forgiving.

  • Skydiving is actually pretty heavily regulated… especially the gear and for tandem students.

Additionally most drop zones are also USPA affiliated which has more rules and regulations especially for sport/solo jumpers (Although Lodi isn’t)

I trust skydiving equipment and instructor training much more than bungee jumping or any other ‘extreme sport’

  • Yeah, some tandem parachute designs just have a shittier flare (compared to the new stuff)

  • Thanks

I did a bit of research and it looks like in order to play videos with redgifs I'd have to apply for an api key.

Currently, Voyager (the app) never calls any endpoint that I own. There's no phone home at all in Voyager unlike some other Lemmy apps. Adding redgif support would mean that Voyager would have to phone home to get a client token because thats how the redgifs api works.

Redgif also state in their api agreement that they have the right to start charging money for api access at any time.

You can probably see why I'm wary for adding support :)

  • Do you have a good example of a community with mostly redgifs?

    For research purposes.

(But actually for research purposes lol)

  • Yeah, either they need to be encoded correctly for uploading or Lemmy pictrs needs to encode them properly for web.

  • iOS is picky with video files. It's malformed video encoding.

  • I'm not sure why lemmy-ui doesn't render those as bullet points, but that seems like a bug in lemmy-ui.

  • Yeah, lemmy.world hasn't upgraded to v0.19 yet.

  • This is something I would do in school unironically.

  • Contributions are welcome. Right now I’m using mismatched SVG icons because I’m not a designer.

  • Thanks! It will be fixed in the next release.

  • Voyager has them

  • Well, yeah, just look at the latest Google Maps update. The new maps layer overemphasizes highways with high contrast. Even places like Amsterdam. Doesn’t matter zoom level. If you are not getting around by a car, everything is low contrast shit.

  • I've never seen that before- If you are able to figure a consistent reproduction, please let me know.

Otherwise, changing device orientation and back may 'fix' the issue without requiring a full app restart.

  • No need to delete. Someone else might find it helpful

  • If you try restarting your phone it should work. Apples app icon switching is pretty buggy.
