  • Yep, this. Thanks for that. I had started to say almost the same thing but had to get back to my yardwork before I could wordsmith it.

  • Ah, okay. I forgot EDL's were a thing since they weren't available in my state.

  • I don't think that it has RFID embedded into it (mine doesn't look like it does when I hold it up to the light).

I think the main thing with Real ID is the standardized identity proofing required to get one, how that identity info is verified, and the fact that the info is shared between states/federal level.

  • Rule 6: The community does not allow opinion pieces, only factual articles. Consider posting to !politics@lemmy.world instead.

  • Take your conspiracy hat off. It was removed (twice) because it was crossposted with an altered title and violated rule 4 each time. Also, each time, a mod asked the OP to fix the post title to match the headline and neither complied.

I even re-posted the article with the actual headline this morning: https://lemmy.world/post/30060419

  • I can DM the mod who issued it.

TL;DR is the account has a history of leaving spam-like posts in its wake. Instead of deleting posts, they edit the title and URL to gibberish and leave them up. The comment I linked above is me asking OP to not do that (at least in this community), so they have been warned. Looks like they left two more gibberish posts early this morning which is likely what triggered the other mod to issue the community ban.

Per the comment I linked, I'm assuming that is why OP has been banned from so many other communities.

    See:

    Edit: Typo

  • Locking post due to excessive slapfighting.

Non-Vegans: Stop trolling the vegans. They're doing what they think is right and aren't hurting you or anyone else. Show some respect for their views.

Vegans: You've made your points. Stop being preachy and condescending toward everyone else (and I say that as a vegetarian myself). Show some respect for their views.

Everyone else: Sorry, but petty bickering like this is why we can't have nice things.

Edit: Unlocked now that everyone has had time to cool off.

  • Yeah, I saw that, too. I just copied across the comment jordan made as-is.

  • Re-posting this since it's been cross-posted twice here in a way that violates the rules. Not trying to suppress this story, but this community does not allow the post titles to editorialize.

Per @jordanlund@lemmy.world in the previous posts:

    Apparently true, FTA:

"I would not acknowledge reproduction as a human right, but instead as a form of rape,” IndictEvolution wrote on Lemmy.World in July 2023. “I am also not bothered by infanticide as long as it is done humanely...”

    Let's pull that modlog:

Looks like he tried to set up an anti-natalism community and got bounced by the Admins. @IndictEvolution@lemmy.world

  • Yep, modern. Should have clarified.

  • That's kinda why I tagged it "general". It's been a good decade or two since cut the cord, but I've still caught some TV in the intervening years and don't recall the bodybuilding competitions becoming any less of a thing. So, clearly, it's still popular enough to televise .

  • I know the former is, but not sure if the recipient is on the hook or not.

  • Rule 4: Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Gave you 20 minutes to address. Feel free to re-submit using the actual article title for the post.

  • Per rule 4, please use the article's actual title for the post. Thanks.

  • You've been banned from a couple of communities for "spam". It seems like you're trying to delete posts by replacing the title and URL with gibberish, and I'm assuming that's why. The posts you don't do that with seem fine.

Please don't do that. If you want one of your posts to be deleted, and you don't think the delete federated out, simply report the post, and one of us will kindly remove it at your request.
