  • That's not what I said, but thanks for going on a tangent to correct me.

Yeah, it's sickening that one of the proudest democracies in history is clearly faltering.

However, I thought they taught Americans about the responsibility of democracy. Hell knows we here you bang on about it when invading the rest of the world.

  • As a non-American it staggers me to think that people tried to justify not making a difficult choice by suggesting they were taking some sort of moral inaction.

  • "If it was easy, it wouldn't be a shortcut, it'd just be the way. "

Modding varies from game to game, but having been doing it for nearly 40 years now, I can say it has generally become easier in the titles that want you to and harder in the ones that don't.

  • Long term solution, learn German.

  • Robinson is of mixed-race heritage. He describes his background as "half Afro-Caribbean and half English"

  • Technically he's British. He's from Nottingham.

He's just drawn to places where being a throbber is considered ok.

  • Being old.

I used to be able to sleep endlessly.

Now I find myself awake early in the morning, despite having gone to bed rather late. And I'd like to go back to sleep but I can't.

    I miss it.

And this isn't even about needing to get up to pee. That's apparently something I still have to look forward to.

  • We are currently witnessing falling numbers in the primary phase

    So there's no population boom.

Most of this article is talking about a speculative boom that might happen and what that could mean.

Meanwhile all of the current problems are attributed to not enough staff and chronic underfunding.

What an awful shitty article posing as journalism.

  • Ok, not preaching here... Just sharing something that helped me.

    I was "terminally online".

    It got me down.

What I found out was that staying well informed doesn't mean keeping up to date with what is happening at this very moment. It means learning all the wonderful things from history.

    Well informed means learning, right?

There are so many brilliant things you can learn right now. And they'll all make you a better, more useful, citizen.

Learn how to paint. Learn photography. Learn why the Japanese like squid. Learn cockney rhyming slang. Learn about Egypt's history with gold. Learn it all. That's also staying well informed.

News is such a small part of being human.

  • Nice to ban you, to ban you nice.

  • I'd still like to throw infinite amounts of money at it to find out.

But yeah. If it was filmable, someone would have had a half-hearted stab by now.

  • Hey look, Elon was clearly trying to build half a house!

    For the kids!

  • Oh we had the farmers block a city here in the UK too.

Some washed up, abusive, TV presenter worked them up when the government changed the laws to inheritance tax that he had avoided by buying a farm.

Yeah, no one was arrested there either.

    • for context...

I'm neuro divergent, I guess, but not ADHD. If anything I'm the opposite. I can focus of things incredibly well. I can prioritise and actuate tasks rather well.

However, you give me a dentist appointment at 2pm and I'm up at 7.30 with my coat on by 8, sat at my kitchen table until mid-day when I walk to the dentists and awkwardly stand outside for nearly an hour because that's what I'm doing.

  • Hang on... Is this an ADHD thing? Damn.
