  • No, it connected to your wifi and downloaded it.

I know thst, but when and how did it get the wifi info.

Did they automatically flash that onto the device, sealed the box packaged it and delivered it - all within 24hrs.

  • yes I did order it with my Amazon account

However, as appreciative as I am for making my setup process easier, I'm also not happy with the fact, that some random dude had access to my device prior to me.

Who says he's not part of some weird group installing miners or bots onto my device causing it to slow down over time?

  • don't need a VM for that... it's basically my daily challenge 🤪

  • double standards

looks like you've skipped lots of news and media coverage lately, right?

  • You mean GIMP, right?!

Imho, Blender really deserves to be treated with more respect. They're one of the few ones offering a great product for free. Sure, it might seem a bit overwhelming, but so are most of these 3D programs. It's just a matter of getting used to... but GIMP, booy oh boy

  • Maybe it's just me, but I never liked GitLab in the first place. The UI is just awful to me. Searching through issues, before posting a new one, is just a pita.

  • Am I under the right assumption that allisrael.com is kind of journalistically of good quality?

I mostly read local news media (EU) and whenever they refer to Hamas, they always refer to them as "terrorist organization Hamas" and always refer to Oct, 7th, even in most recent articles, always putting them in a bad spot, even if they write about israeli strikes on Gaza, etc.

However, going through some recent articles on allisrael.com they never put Hamas in a bad spot, but keep it neutral.

  • I think mint is too Linuxy for win...they might go with Ubuntu and embrace snaps

  • Nice! I think that's what I'm gonna do next when I'm about to clean my PC.

Would you mind sharing the adapter you used?

  • Trillian? A while ago? Maaaan, that's almost two decades ago... Nostalgia just hit me

  • This is what design trends 100000 B.C. looked like.... wonder when nature will catch up with Web 2.0

  • Has Elon secretly bought Google too?

  • yeah, bc. this gramma is deeply involved in the military strategies of the hamas... she might even be the one pulling the strings... there's no proof yet, but the IDF probably knows best

    /S

  • That's what I tell myself nearly every day.

  • Lol... stupid junior-devs... in such case you should go with switch-statements instead... much cleaner.

  • Ooooh....wait... by streaming you mean netflix, etc...

Can we please invent a word for streaming pirated content?

  • what do you do at work? crashing operating systems? 🤪

  • or.. we just need more FOSS alternatives to the car manufacturers proprietary OS.

I already see GH issues like: "breaks stop working when going above 200mph."

  • I used to freelance for a big corp who used MS teams and provided me with separate credentials, while also having my private MS account, that I occasionally use for other corps I worked for.

It was a hell using it that way. I had to run each one in a private Brave window to be able to work on two different accounts.

I know they only use MS teams, bc their infra is all based on MS, and it probably works fine for them internally. But man, this shit needs to be fixed in some way to account for external people, especially the ones who chose their own stack and work simultaneously with others.
