Based on what we know now, Harris would have been a bad president. She lost and didn’t ask for a recount when she should have and then disappeared. AOC and Bernie on the other hand have taken a stand against fascism. I’m with them not the d’s.
ROFL I love it. It’s a technique that t uses to control people - to make them always be on edge. It creates survival mode. He’s not doing it intentionally, it is a narcissistic trait.
The problem is that in abusive relationships the ultimate boundary is going no contact. The only way you can do that to an abusive government is immigrating to another country, this is the brain drain we’re experiencing now. At the end, the country will be full of people permanently stuck in survival mode who make no attempt at improving their conditions. Learned helplessness and hopelessness. That is the future of America unless people start fighting fire with fire. We cannot afford to “take the higher ground”, that is what got us here in the first place.
The technique is a variation to emotion regulation - name the emotion then feel the emotion and let it pass through you. This allows you to process the grief in real time without it getting stuck. This absolutely works in a dysfunctional family because at the end you just go no contact with them and all is well… but this psychobabble doesn’t work when your government is the abuser because the only boundary you can set is to leave the country.
What you’re describing isn’t anything unique when a new industry comes out.
It doesn’t need to be specifically for public consumption. Currently I’m wrapping up several personal projects that I started precovid but couldn’t achieve because I struggle at a few lower level tasks. It’s kind of like someone who struggles manually performing 100 7 digit number calculations. Using excel solves this issue, and isnt “cheating” because the goal is beyond the ability to accurately add everything.
Another perspective, outsourcing unimportant tasks frees our time to think deeper and be innovative. It removes the entry barrier allowing people who would ordinarily not be able to do things actually do them.
That’s an interesting concept but standards are different, so what does a social score mean anyway? For example, I value high eq/empathy above all. Lacking that but being a billionaire won’t increase my score toward you even though you might be rated high because you own a house, car, business etc.
