It depends on what communities you subscribe to. You’re not going to get much hostility in a gardening sub, but you will get it in political sub. With that said, my reddit score is very polite. Always has been. My secret is being aware of my emotions and not responding when I’m being egged.
It’s not even the media. There are groups targeting kids in online games. There’s a cult called 754 I think that’s the correct number. And they’re radicalizing kids.
I wonder if that 2% was because they were directly impacted by him. Additionally, I assume most haven’t changed their minds because they came in knowing that there would be hard times ahead.
With that said, I live in a very r area and have been keeping tabs on the flags. My grocery store started selling us flags last month and now there are new houses with flags. They didn’t have them up at all before.
That’s fantastic. This encourages taking personal responsibility over their action. I think it’s important to allow people to learn and grow, without the shame. Shame keeps people locked into their false beliefs. The more apologetics we have, the faster change will come. With that said, don’t forget these people. They still have fucked up beleifs.
No one knows when you entered college. You could have taken a year off between hs and college. No one will know that you had to retake classes either. You’re over thinking it. You’re not the last person to do it, you don’t know where everywhere else is at.
I used Skype a couple of times - I was talking to someone overseas. This was pre zoom. It’s interesting that they dropped the ball, they could have been zoom.
Kids want to escape from their dysfunctional families or trauma or whatever other adversities they’re experiencing and they don’t have a support system to show them healthy coping.
