  • From the article:

The war on the Charlie server resulted in a stalemate where neither side was getting closer to winning, both had maxed out their technology, and all players were stuck in an end-game loop of manufacturing, delivering, and fighting with little to show for it.

"The main reason is to ensure that new players that have joined Charlie in the last month get the chance to experience a war as it's meant to be played, progressing through early, mid, and late phases of the tech tree,"

    -statement by the developer.

Turns out simply releasing the statement was enough to end the war as the upcoming change got players to commit to a big war push and win the game before the change went thru.

  • Sniper Elite lol! Love that damn game. Someone out there had the job programmin nazi-nutsacks, and they took their job serious. Such loving attention to destructive detail. i never once got tired of explodin them in slow motion from 500 yards. What a hero

  • Yeah, i don't shame setups but I'll make an exception for an exceptional specimen. I'd shame that punk for breathin' wrong. Example: He's definitely using more a' my air than i'd like. I don't hold much hope but i do hold some; that i live to see him get all he deserves.

  • Same guy who said “marketing is dead” is playing the CDPR startegy “we’re the good guys” to endear himself with the public.

Excellent point. I like where your head is at in general, no cap. Roll with that point, it's

Bioware has had 15 of releasing bland crap I don’t find good.

True, and i agree, but to clarify my position: that's not what talent means in this context. In fact, i'm claiming your conflation of the definition of "talent" in this context serves to make a case you perhaps didn't mean to, a case that 'they make poor games and thus it doesn't matter that they're laid off'.

I'm not saying that was your point, I'm saying that's what it looks like to readers when you bring up the unrelated point of whether you like biowares games.

Do you get what i mean?

  • While ya ain't wrong that bioware isn't what it used to be your comment claims there's not been talent in the building for 15 years which is just silly if you think about it. Like, they can still program games 10 times better n you, or me, or, for the context of this quote, biowares management.

Yer just taking the definition of "talent" (in this case used to describe the people who program games, separate from management who produce nothing) and changing it to 'making great games you like' which is 1000% not the point he was making.

  • Yarp im not really arguing witcha, ops argument was different than mine anyhow. What will i do? Everything in my power (nothing). I'll continue ta complain mightily about their unfair market control and price fixin' simply cuz it feels good to vent

  • From experience you'd definitely notice and would have a hard time going back. My windows settings had restricted my fps to 30 on my mmo and i didn't know but when i fixed it and had 60 the difference was huge. Took a week to get used to.

Got my wife a 144hz screen and i can see the difference between my 60 and hers but it's not as huge.
