And yet the trolls or naive people here are saying that they won’t vote for Biden because he hasn’t flown over the Israel and slapped Netanyahu. Yes it sucks what’s happening in Gaza, but not voting, or voting for Trump will be oh so much worse.

Yikes. That’s a pretty harsh take. Generalising like this is exactly the type of nonsense Republicans spout. Based on the article, these aren’t some insignificant numbers being talked about.

Ironically I think lots of people who condem the entire Boomer generation as a whole would also understand the term White Privilege and understand that it doesn’t guarantee a better life for everyone in that group.

Perhaps if people saw this as more of a “Boomer Privilege” in that this generation had better odds, but not a guarantee that they would be financially secure.

Not that it has any relevance to the rest of this thread, but that’s exactly why some states require people over a certain age (say 75) to retest for their drivers license. So you assess the individual while looking at data on the whole group.

Same could be said about this broader topic. It’s unfair to lump an entire group together like this. It would be like saying that since most young people don’t vote in elections, we should just disregard that entire block of voters.

Or follow the one good thing the music industry does.. allow music across different platforms. I can listen to the same songs on YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple, etc. none of this “get the XYZ app to listen to a band, and another app to listen to others”.

I need that for my Roku. I may just write an automation in Home Assistant that will switch to whatever app I programmed if I press the Paramount+ button. Unfortunately that means I need to install that app on the Roku itself.

Yeah, but that depends on the use cases. I have a home video and picture library on my NAS. I’d much rather have more storage on an HDD rather than SSD. For the same price, and with RAID 5, I get to store more. I don’t need the SSD speeds to load old pictures and videos.

This is why the Democrats need to win, remove the Trump factor and try to either drag the Republican Party more to the center, or have the Democrats win in such a decisive way that it forces the Republicans to shift left. In the ideal world we don’t have FPTP, but all we can push for is a splitting of the Democrats so that folks like AOC and Biden aren’t considered part of the same party.

I’m actually having fun with the DJ feature as well. Sure it need some tuning, but I like how it switches up genres and plays different types of music.

Some security camera systems have this built in. They show snapshots of various times where you choose the total period, say 24 hours. Then you glance through the snapshots that are all displayed at once on the screen and click on the last one where your bike was still there. That will then “zoom in” the timeline and show another set of snapshots, though this time within a smaller total time window. Keep clicking on the last panel with the bike, and it will soon show you the clip of the bike being stolen.
