I think it's possible that nation states are inherently unstable. An improvement on monarchy, but still vulnerable to oligarchy.

I'm not sure what the future holds, or what comes next, but I suspect that federation will play an important role.

There's hunter-gatherer tribes that have been more or less stable for over a thousand years. It's said that the Nez Perce have lived on the Columbia River for 11,500 years.

What's your area of expertise? In my experience software jobs that pay a livable wage are pretty common, it's finding one that isn't miserable work for a terrible company that's the tricky part.

There are different screen sizes. Your monitor isn't the standard universal size of every other monitor, some are larger and some are smaller. Your phone isn't the same width and height as every other phone. The website will look different on different devices.

It's complicated. They removed all taxation that would have benefitted the the colonies, but kept the Townshend Act taxes in place.

The colonies had been evading the Townshend taxes, largely because they were understood to be punitive. That's the primary reason tea had been smuggled from The Netherlands, as resistance to what was viewed as unjust taxation.

With math you can try, but I bet that in the future they laugh at the half-assed schemes and algorithms amassed to enforce cryptographs in the past.

Are you talking about medically delaying puberty? You're aware that's done with cis kids more often than trans kids, right?

I don't see how it's child abuse when prescribed to a minor with gender dysphoria, but totally fine when it's a minor with precocious puberty.

For many trans people, having the option to postpone irrevocable changes brought on by puberty has massive mental health benefits for the rest of their lives. I feel like you have to be pretty jaded and dismissive to just categorize that as abuse out of hand.
