  • Not directly related, but look up how many people are represented by all the republican vs democrat senators in US Congress. I'm pretty sure in the current nearly perfectly split Senate that the Democrats represent around 40 million more people than the Republican senators do. It's fucked, they get elected for culture war nonsense and then can do whatever they want as long as they fight the culture war of the week and coast into reelection.

  • I love watching all the people who cheered for Ted Cruz when he talked about bombing the middle east so much that the "sand might glow" who are now telling us that defending the sovereignty of our allies against a power aggressive to both of us is "inappropriate".

The best investments Russia ever made has been propping up the Republican party since at least the 90s. None of the "peaceful freedom loving traditional conservatives" of today can bring themselves to criticize this aggressive violent authoritarian power that is against everything they claim to believe in. How strange.

The excuses are funny though keep em coming! Laughing at morons who think they're clever enough to fool anyone is always good fun.

  • There is a nonzero probability of getting hit by a meteor at any time. A woman in Alabama was hit by one while she was inside her home, you're not even safe indoors!

You all might think I'm a fool for wearing a helmet every time I leave my definitely meteor-proof house, but I'm not taking any chances.

  • I don't really distro hop much (you need a rolling release distro and a stable distro, never needed more) but if you're asking I'll assume you're a Linux newb so really I would recommend doing something less custom. If you want Fedora and KDE, install the Fedora ISO that comes with KDE and be done.

I won't say it's incredibly complex to run multiple desktop environments, but it's definitely more of a pain and can cause weird issues (fucking NetworkManager) Better to stick to the "happy path" and make your machine as standard as possible so it's more compatible with everything, especially if you're new to Linux

  • Ctrl+a - go to beginning of line (alpha? I dunno)

ctrl+e - go to (e)nd of the line

    alt+f - (f)orward one word

    alt+b - (b)ack one word

You might already know these but no one else has posted them on this thread yet. I work in both Linux and Mac a lot and this works for them. No idea about Windows I'm no longer forced to use it at work 🙂
