Even Hamas wants a two state solution along 1967 borders. Nelson Mandela campaigned for a two state solution along 1967 borders as well when he visited Gaza in 1999. A two state solution where Israel withdraws from all occupied territories/Arab land in the West Bank and goes back to 67 borders has been the position of Palestinian resistance for decades.
Your vote matters just as much as everyone else's.
That is mathematically not true, the electoral college exists. Also, the candidate with less votes than their opponent has won 1/3 of US elections in the 21st century. So even if the voters go out and vote, there is a 1/3 chance the person that gets the most votes will lose the election in modern US politics.
No it's not too late, you're only 25, that's pretty young. Yes other people have started dating much younger, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter much. Focusing on yourself and your career and education can be attractive to others, so don't worry about having "wasted time" or anything. Losing weight if you're overweight helps, same with gaining weight if you're underweight. Just be sure that the primary focus is health and ignore all the unrealistic body standards in movies and on social media. You're doing well to put yourself out there, don't worry about your friends, I'm sure you'll find someone single that wants to have a relationship soon. You seem to be on the right track, so don't worry. Avoid all the weird dating advice on the internet, it's not helpful.
A bar of soap with a washcloth, and the cheapest 48-72 hour lasting spray on antiperspirant deodorant. No particular brands here, there's not much difference between them. If I want to smell nice, I just put a little bit of cologne on as well. I also avoid shower gels and 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner.
Sounds like it's shifting into a higher gear too quickly, getting stuck in a higher gear, or shifting at the wrong times, an issue with the transmission.
Communities about sports/sports discussion. It's the only reason I use Reddit right now. But it seems like the people on Lemmy are even more anti sports than redditors, which is quite something to be honest.
What she said wasn't even that positive. She said that during her capture she was beaten to the point of not being able to breathe well, but after that she was looked after well and got the same food and water as the fighters/her captors, and even got shampoo.
If a statement like this is enough to infuriate Israel, then that's pretty telling on their side
You are literally doing the second paragraph I quoted in your reply here. You cannot seperate capitalism and the laws of accumulating capital from social and environmental issues. They are intrinsically linked. Just as the second paragraph said, you did not even question this so "seperation", you just accepted it as the general consensus.
The specific combination of factors in the historical formation of U.S. society—dominant “biblical” religious ideology and absence of a workers’ party—has resulted in government by a de facto single party, the party of capital. The two segments that make up this single party share the same fundamental liberalism. Both focus their attention solely on the minority who “participate” in the truncated and powerless democratic life on offer. Each has its supporters in the middle classes, since the working classes seldom vote, and has adapted its language to them. Each encapsulates a conglomerate of segmentary capitalist interests (the “lobbies”) and supporters from various “communities.”
American democracy is today the advanced model of what I call “low-intensity democracy.” It operates on the basis of a complete separation between the management of political life, grounded on the practice of electoral democracy, and the management of economic life, governed by the laws of capital accumulation. Moreover, this separation is not questioned in any substantial way, but is, rather, part of what is called the general consensus. Yet that separation eliminates all the creative potential found in political democracy. It emasculates the representative institutions (parliaments and others), which are made powerless in the face of the “market” whose dictates must be accepted.
That's mainly because you can raise livestock/ruminants on non arable land. But the idea that ranchers should be able to just use any land without proper consideration for the environment is crazy.
The last of us is made by the same developers as uncharted and the first game is available for PC. The story is a lot more dark than uncharted though.
