Alternate take: you wouldn't be able to blackpill people on the left if the democrat party actually showed up and executed policy that makes the working people's lives easier. Hard to be pessimistic about something that doesn't exist. The US is not a democracy and never has been. Our votes are not equal and there are many institutions in place to ensure that our vote can just not matter whenever is convenient for those in power, both on state and federal levels.

Look up the paradox of tolerance. It's not about ideas, it's about the battle of "free speech" and how tolerating everything leads to nazism/fascism, if it's prevelent enough in a society.
