  • I've had multiple instances where games performed better on Wayland than on x.

  • My wife and I have been sharing finances and everything forever. But many people don't and it really feels like it's because they half know it's not going to work out. So they just don't bother committing.

  • I honestly can't think of a damned thing I'm weirdly good at. Maybe that's my super power. Extreme averageness.

  • The LCD one is 512GB which hasn't been an issue for them so far. They mostly just play valheim and portal/portal2, sticky business and snakeybus. I figure once they get older they will have access to more games and will need more space. But I'm hoping at that point they are involved financially in the purchase so they will have some control over what they get.

  • I bought two steam decks of which one was at launch and the other was the limited edition OLED one. Both of which get daily use. My kids play them regularly. I play them regularly. If my wife wants to get another computer in the future, I would probably recommend she get something cheap and buy a steam deck to game on. It works quite well for northgard!

  • My kids (7 and 6) enjoy valheim, Lego Star wars, deaths door, portal 2 and spiritfarer

  • Northgard primarily! It's been wearing my trackpad smooth.

  • Honestly, for the most part I really enjoyed the voice acting in Guild Wars 2. But femme V is probably my favourite as of late.

  • I tried and disliked both of those. They worked fine they just felt bad. Bad to digging around for clients.

  • I don't think that's a healthy way to be.

  • I would just like to see more games be a bit friendlier with settings. Give me some real potato settings or focus a bit more on optimization so I can play stuff without having to futz with settings so much.

  • Nope. They had anti cheat that supported it, but they experienced higher issues with cheating via linux than elsewhere. Which sucks. People who cheat suck.

  • It is still a loss for linux gamers.

  • Dump configs to backup drive. Pray to the machine spirit that things don't blow up. Only update when I remember. I'm a terrible admin for my own stuff.

  • I've always loved the idea of this game but always struggled with it. But in feel like playing with friends would make a difference.

  • I try and post, but I feel like I'm always slow to the uptake and people already say the things I have to say. But I do make sure I vote as much as I can.

  • I use sway, and for the life of me can not get steam link to display my games. I have tried so many things. If I use flatpak steam it works, but it breaks remote play together, which works fine not flatpak! I can get them both to work with KDE Wayland as well. It's frustrating but also not a huge deal.

  • I use my personal computer as a work PC. But I run a VM for the work stuff. It's great.

  • This is the same for me and my family. It's such a great feature to have and worth not seeing ads. I feel like supporting the platforms I use is important to me.

  • This is a great feature! I can finally have both my kids play whatever game they want at the same time.
