I swapped the entire school computers to linux mint

  • You could use Ublock Origin to just block the notification element: You will still receive messages of course, but you won't see the notification pop up so effectively, they might as well not exist.

    There might be other fancier ways of doing this, but that would be a relatively simple way to effectively do it.
