For people inside the US doesnt paying for the tarriffs just means more money going into this administration? Better to only purchase things if you absolutely have to
The downside is there is no summer/winter break. I'm at the point that I'm severely burnt out; i have had exactly 1 vacation in the 10 years since i got out of school, and it was a little over a week long several years ago.
My paid time off sits unused because it pays out if i quit or lose my job, and i will need that cash. I desperately could use a solid month off without being penalized for "existing while not outputting labor", and it most likely just isn't going to happen.
Ohio had nazis parading around in Columbus before the election. Literal, swastica flag waving, nazis.
Dayton survives almost solely due WPAFB and military contractors as far as i can tell, and with that comes a heavy republican presence and nationalism from retirees (and their family) who never left the area after getting out.
Much of the rest of ohio is either agriculture, shipping/transportation, or former industry that hasnt quite fully died yet.
It hasn't been a true swing state in quite some time. And a place to live hasn't been cheap either (unless you like roaches or mold)
It is in an apartment so its probably a cheap piece of junk (frigidaire or hotpoint, one of those brands i think) but it just cant maintain a high temperature; cant stir fry, cant maintain a rolling boil for consistent pasta, etc
Stoves with Sensi-temp burners; they've got a weird little spring loaded disc in the center of the burner. Cant even boil fucking water consistently because it shuts itself off over a certain temperature and doesn't come back on for far too long.
Shit, a working pickup? Could probably get people to bid on that and make more. New pickups are absurdly expensive
