  • I was looking up bike lanes in a city I was thinking of buying a house in and the map had property lines on it, with the registered owners names plastered in every space.

  • Well, not in that wolverine's universe, cause they're all dead.

There were a bunch of them in that nowhere zone that has a name I'm too lazy to look up. And an implication that there's more in that Illuminati universe.

The point is that they have introduced characters (from other universes) that have already died. So they can introduce whoever the fuck they want cause of all the multiverse shit.

    So... potentially anywhere.

  • Did you see the last Dr. Strange movie? He died again in that one, too. Did you see Deadpool and Wolverine? You know the one that specifically references the dead Logan from that movie you did see? And then had another one as a co-star in the movie?

Yeah, dying in the movies isn't exactly concrete for the actors. It's a lot like the comics that way.

  • Surprisingly enough, it doesn't really stop them from trying, it only stops individual occurrences. And if the piece of metal only grazes, it often invigorates and galvanizes them

An additional note: for all the people who advocate this approach, very few have actually gone through with it. Perhaps it'd be more successful if all the people who advocate for it actually did it instead of trying to get other people to do it for them.

  • No one called you any names. They said your advice is ridiculous, but that's not name calling. That's critiquing.

They're not using your dishwasher for your needs, they're using their dishwasher for their needs. They likely don't overlap. Different models have different feature sets. One can say that they should have done more research into the home networking requirements for super basic features (as heavily explained in the article that we're all commenting on, and you seem to have completely ignored), but frankly that's beside the point. The baseline should not be well below par. The baseline should not be "download our potential spyware that also doesn't necessarily work very well with your system just so you can use basic features".

I'm glad you like smart features. I think people should have that kind of flexibility and choice in their home environment. The problem here is that when using this particular appliance, they don't have that choice. That is a problem. Even if, when you use your appliance, you don't have that issue, they do. Because they are not you, and do not have the exact same use case that you do.
