Not knowing how to add 6 + 8 just because a calculator is always available isn't okay.
I have friends in my DnD session who have to count the numbers together on their fingers. I feel bad for the person. Don't blame a teacher for wanting you to be a smarter more efficient and productive person, for banning a calculator.
Have you tried gtao with mods/cheats? Its the only game that I happily "cheat in" because when I play, I just want to have fun with the new things. Also keeps you safe from other modders, and I've made quite a few friends just being able to enjoy the game and not grind.
It may not be a replacement, though they can work hand in hand amazingly.
I've found that as long as I leave my pc running at home, I'm able to just hop on 4G mobile data through my phone and stream the vast majority of games.
I wouldn't try this for multi-player games, but when I want to play Warhammer when I'm away this does the trick!
Or even at home, no more hauling the pc to the TV. Stick it in the corner, and simply stream over wifi.
Personally the only games not able to played on my deck are games like Starfield, which thankfully doesn't bother me one bit. (Though it worked perfectly being streamed from my 1660ti).
Now if you're a graphics snob then no, the deck can not compare to a pc. But neither can a console.
Not necessarily. You can incremently upgrade your pc over time. Typically for cheaper than a brand new console. Generally as long as you have a nice enough mobo, you could just replace the GPU and suddenly "be able to play next gen games"
I still believe mobile PC's (like the ROG or Deck) will be the new consoles of the future. Why the hell would I trap myself to a room every time I want to play a game? Now I can walk to any random forest, lake, area, and go play Cyberpunk 2077 for 4 hours with nothing but nature.
No, what I'm saying is that if Wire still sends the passwords for the encryption in plaintext to their servers, thats bad. Signal doesn't do that afaik.
Your right, they could just read any of your messages if they feel like it however. Wouldn't you rather have a phone number associated with an unreadable account? Or no "personally identifying info (besides your entire device...)" but Wire can read and see all of what you send.
I believe its actually worse than drunk driving, so really let that thought seep in. Its not worth the gamble, best case only you get hurt. Worst case...
More like WHEN* you accidentally fall asleep at the wheel.
If you're gonna be doing it in one go, make sure your route has plenty of shoulder space. If you start to feel drowsy; pull over, get up and out, try some snacks + water, but most importantly walk around your vehicle.
It gives your brain something to focus on, and arleast for me, gives me another hour of not gonna die driving!
To me it doesn't make sense to get rid of a bot that objectively helps everyone (any article is now easily read from a summary) with an extremely controversial bot, that they will not take suggestions or feedback on.
Sure you can block what ever bots you want, and id say that is the best solution. However, you can't choose to do that when Lemmy.world bans Autotldr and not mbfc.
Maybe try actually playing it on the deck then? How are you even gonna complain about something you haven't tried, for a game no where near done.
I have played on my deck. All the keys are mapped and you can easily play the game with all of the controls.
