  • Many of us drive a lot. Half-decent cars that don't need regular repairs are going to run at least 30k, sometimes more. I really don't understand the 70k trucks, but I may just not have the perspective. I don't know what you consider too much money on a car, but I have two kids and need something safe for local travel and visiting family hundreds of miles away.

    Edit: If there was better public transportation, I would take advantage of it. We were supposed to have high speed travel in Florida--the people voted for it. The Republicans stalled it because there wasn't a funding portion to the law and refused to fund it.
