  • It was a highly-awarded reply to the top comment, so it was the second comment you would see by default sorting (though it starts minimized).

But yeah to @OP this is not America or what Americans think. That sub is pure Russian disinfo and astroturfing. You could argue that it represents the administration and current policy, but most of the actual people here recognize this as lunacy, even on within the Putin echo chamber.

  • Then: "When was the last time you heard about those transgenders? It's something the Left made up. It's time to finally outlaw HRT"

  • This bigoted asshole managed to demonize trans people not only once, but twice.

  • In a sea of disgusting lies and undeserved co-option of others' achievements, his comments on 'reclaiming the Panama Canal' and 'Taking Greenland one way or another' were particularly atrocious. Did this motherfucker say on live television that the United States is going to claim the sovereign territory of other nations!?!?!? Why the brainmelting fuck did Republicans clap!?!?

  • It's a little contentious, but Discord is a solid video chat app. It's good for hop in/hop out for multiple users and you can have a dedicated family chat room on the server too. Very device compatible and resource friendly, and totally free.

  • Yeah the battery is pretty well shot, but it's otherwise in perfect condition.

  • You can get wild rice soup from places like Panera, it's really good! The hotdish version is thicker/baked. The stuff in the photo basically looks like the wild rice, carrots, and just a cream of potato base, probably not much flavor to it.

  • I'll have to look into this. I have an old Pixel 4a I use occasionally, and it'd be nice to make it more useful

  • This is what I don't get though. What's vital to understand in these movies where you can't enjoy them on their own? Spider-Man:No Way Home is an anomaly in that it heavily relies on past movies to get the full picture, but at the end of the day, it's about gathering a team and beating the bad guys. The movie explains enough to understand the plot.

There aren't many movies that are integral to watch before any others. You could hop in blind at any point and at a baseline enjoy that movie, even if that very first movie is Infinity War.

So, yeah if you don't care about She-Hulk or Ms. Marvel, feel free to skip. Go see Thunderbolts if that looks good. But if you feel you'll get caught up with minutia, look up a 5-minute 'Thunderbolts recap' beforehand (it should cover you if you didn't see Black Widow, Hawkeye, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Falcon & The Winter Soldier) to get the backgrounds on those characters.

  • I don't get why people have the simultaneous stance of:

    • I refuse to watch even a recap (let alone the series) of other content prior to watching a movie
    • I demand that no details have changed, and if so, everything is laid out in explicit detail so I can enjoy this movie about strong dudes punching each other

  • Why would the earth have anxiety about wanting to spend quality time with us? That's definitely 'death of the author' territory.

  • I hope they're doing alright. For a plane crash, this is probably as good as we could hope for.

  • Yup, I drink black decaf every day! Make sure to either grind the beans right before use or keep the grounds in the fridge - decaf beans lose their flavor more quickly.

  • Holy shit, someone could make a 2000's-style stoner comedy with this general plot and most movie-goers would never pick up on it. Like a modern-day "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"

  • I bought them until they stopped making them... My favorite phone was the Sony Xperia X Compact with a 4.6" screen. It had decent midrange specs and a great camera.
