  • The incessant lurch of time makes us crab and there's nothing we can do about it

  • They also resent anti-runon-sentence propaganda

  • I find it difficult to reconcile how the writer of Speaker for the Dead is such a bigot. Dude took a hard swerve at some point.

  • It's absolutely a cheap way to give you an easy win. If I get SVP but lose in overtime, it's absolutely an insult to throw me into a bot match for 'practice'

  • Yeah except it doesn't work like that. If you get 2 losses in a row or even 2 losses separated by a win, it'll dump you in the kiddie pool, doesn't matter how much playtime you have. If I get SVP and it still puts me into a bot match, that's bad design.

It seems to be a way to grant the player an easy win so you don't tilt and quit. But the ruse was way too easy to see through.

  • Every studio does this though. "Media Blackout" is just everything up to the reveal trailer.

  • Inspector Gadget flying down the street and crashes into you, sending you both tumbling into an open-air clothes market. You emerge in a gender-bent outfit and he says "That suits you! No need to thank me!" as he flies off. Penny and Brain look on in confusion, glance down at a computer, then give you a thumbs up.

  • Musk had control of voting machines in swing states. I'll never believe Trump won legitimately. The real tragedy was that it was close enough to rig.

  • That would be an interesting challenge: to play a game suboptimally, intentionally rhythmic.

  • winks empathetically

  • Were the costumes that bad in the X-files? Or is that at a con or something

  • ...you know this was a Japanese movie, right?

  • Lord of the Yeets

  • Not programming, but the plot of Shin Godzilla was about bureaucratic red tape holding back the actual solutions.

  • Oh no doubt. He's expecting a pre-established public service. But looking to hire a private service and not wanting to pay taxes for a public service is at least more principled than most Republicans today.

  • I'm all for schadenfreude, but this isn't a logical inconsistency - he is demonstrating his money going to private industry rather than public services. Or at least, his desire to do so.

  • I mean this was the end of the movie anyway...
