Think you need to get out more. Few people bat an eye if you don't drink alcohol in a bar. Lots go for the music alone is it is a live band. It just some wings after work.
Yes but it is only one and it is rather a minor one when it comes to socializing in a group or getting you out of the basement. Unless you are the type that immediately starts a conflict with strangers in which case you might have anger issues.
That might help people in relationships mind you and that would have some value.
Sorry but our parents worked more than us and their parents worked more then them. Few people I know work weekends or don't get two days a week off. Your parents worked normal 8 hours day then they went home and worked on their cars and houses and basically did another 4 hours a day doing of jobs. Their parents went one step further and built their own houses often or helped build them and grew alot of their own food.
We might work similar or more formal hours but we work far less informal hours that at any period in history. So that does not hold much water to me.
Shotgun wedding was simply someone got pregnant and the couple may have been encouraged to wed. I seen enough of them and I don't know if a single one where it was mandatory. Poor reason to get married maybe but was pretty much always but choice and the shotgun statement was more of a joke.
There are few racial cultures in Canada, and likely no European cultures that have arranged 'forced' marriages. Encouraging couples to interact in such a way as they might develop feelings for each other is not an forced marriage by the way. And before you get all huffy, yes there have been forced marriages but it is quite rare.
Possibly. How about the reality that people are simply not interacting in person but online. I can't believe this is not the first post.
Seriously go out to a bar, a music festival, volunteer, hell get drunk a few times and loosen up. In the 70, 80, 90 right up till 2000 this was every weekend. Hell it is not some work drone thing. That is an excuse. Work later in life is where you actually might meet some friends and from there have drinks after work and maybe that results in a random meeting with some ladies or men in your life.
School won't teach this. Life skills need practice not exams.
Selfish people are that way. Both introverts and extroverts. You just might come across more selfish people that are extroverts just by the nature of them being extroverts. Had nothing with them being one way or another.
I would rather spend my time with an extrovert as I have the confidence to be myself while feeding off their energy. Many people feel insecure around someone who is outgoing and will intentionally or unintentionally try to find fault in them.
It will get better but I think soon is 10 years away. We don't even have common charge ports on phones and legislation is not going to give advantage to a single specific company yet.
Because they are young. Would you expect an 18 year old to have 10 percent of the assets that say a 30 year old? Would you expect a 30 year old to have anywhere near the saved up assets as someone that is 70 and retiring after working 50 years?
It would be like saying it is unfair they have higher wages on average than the boomer generation. Being that later is half retired.
It was certainly in the context of income tax but the people he would need to pay that would have to be those making the 100k a year middle class. Just lots of them may have a few million in assets but that is his idea of the wealthy and who will pay for it. The middle class is by far the biggest tax base and there is no way to increase spending by that amount without going after them. And he knows it.
Bernie is just great at suggesting all kinds of spending which is really easy to do when you know you will never have to account for it. The guy praised Chavez for fuck sakes. Chavez who destroyed Venezuela which is now the poorest and most dangerous country in the Americas. And we are suppose to think he understands economics?
You really to really want to fuck over the poor, lets follow the ideas of a guy that wanted the US to follow the model of Venezuela. Good dam you are greedy.
I stand corrected. I should have been more precise. Yes he said he would pay for it but he was lying that it could be paid for. The guy thought chevez's Venezuela was something to praise after all. And many people making 141000 pre year have a million or two in assets. It will be this class that is paying for it and then some as capital leaves.
The uber rich billionaire do not make up enough people to even amount to a small amount of this additional tax so it is mainly the millionaires who make up much of the middle class. Effectively it is the middle class paying for it.
And what he also failed to mention is that a great deal of capital leaves there country when you start to tax excessively. This is not a question if if but how much. And while that reduces the taxes gained from these individuals, it has a multiplier effect in that it reduces investment into the country thus resulting in less corporate taxes as well as all the personal taxes for that many fewer jobs.
I understand wealth inequality is an issue but people like Bernie only put it simple solutions because he knows people with little economic understanding will eat it up. Worse he knows he is lying which really bothers me more than anything.
There is likely a great deal of useful information but I just feel a supercomputer should deliver something more than that video.
