It is stupid, but see it in context: the Muslim community has been ostracized, alienated and systematically blamed and punished as 'the baddies' since 9/11, while the majority of them just want to live their normal lives.
White people/Christians/actually everyone, never realised how much pain and suffering 9/11 also did cause the average Muslim too. Loss of jobs, income, rise of the right wing and perpetually being ridiculed and invalidated.
This coming from an ex-muslim... To be honest, when I read Biden saying that, it infuriated me. Why can't he be nuanced and defend Israel AND Gazan civilians AND condemn Hamas at the same time? Because he can't. He doesn't care how many kids are dying right now with his stupid 'cost of war' rhetoric, because he doesn't believe those lives matter. He thinks this will blow over in a year, because no one cares about brown/Muslim people.
Come what may, he just lost the election and gave republicans all those votes. Let's hope there are enough white guys replacing them. I wouldn't vote for him too. It is stupid and nobody wants that orange buffoon back, but sending a signal that enough is enough is more important sometimes.
“The more military pressure, the more firepower and the more we strike Hamas – the greater our chances are to bring it to a place where it will agree to a solution that will allow the return of your loved ones,” he said.
This is so bad. No one is talking about the hostages anymore, only as an excuse to do what they're doing now. I truly hope they'll survive the mass bombings and be returned to their families.
You're so disgusting in your way of thinking. I made a special tag for you.
Also, this is what they mean when they say every few years we have to mow the lawn: literally killing Palestinians, because their fragile bodies are threatened by merely the existence of other people.
Your ancestors that survived the Holocaust are rolling in their graves right now. Shame on you for becoming what you hated.
Israel Times has a blog/article about Act 2 of the war and one point was urging people to go online on every social media platform and basically suppress Palestinians and their supporters.
You can add tags to their handle. Helps me identify them and when I have the mental strength, fight them on their disinformation campaign. Or just block them.
At least they were keeping their basement racist opinions to themselves before Trump. Now, I can't even go to the store without an old bitch trying to stare me down. And I'm white skinned, born here, no headscarf, nothing to indicate I'm even a foreigner or religious. They can smell it, like dogs or (hogs?). Can't imagine what darker skinned people are going through.
No one deserves to be treated like this, so don't let them get away with it. If they say something, record and report. Is it in a store, raise your voice, ask them to repeat what they said but louder, so anyone can hear it, and ask for a manager. See them running outside like the cowards they are. (Did this once when an older polish crone called my friend a whore, because she was wearing a headscarf). Funny thing is, we were both born here and she was clearly imported as a wife, since her accent was really thick.
I have fibro and do this with a friend that also has it. On bad days, we message each other with small goals, just to get out of bed and make a cup of tea/coffee. A few hours later, we message again and ask how far the other has gotten. Washed the dishes? Okay, took a nap on the couch? That's okay too. Tomorrow is another day. It really helps us.
Maybe you can ask your best friend or colleague to do the same?
