  • I'm surprised that nobody has done an extraction of organic/aromatic content in an oil/fat ? Have you never backed some "space cakes" ? I haven't but I've seen people doing it, and it's pretty advanced chemistry when you think well

  • Government should found more art and research, also donation and crowd funding aren't passive income. I believe OP talked about the Marxists bourgeoisie the class of people who live off dividends or rent and doesn't need to work

  • This one is pretty location specific but I agree that US law doesn't make any sense. Like, physician and pharmacist spend 10 years at university to learn all the details about prescription medication and then have to get yearly retraining, so how do you even do ad's for that

  • Remember that

    • Unless your a professional communicator, talking to media is always dangerous. They can totally change what you say using "editing", and loaded question can quickly trap you. There is a reason why there is so many job in communication and media assistant, you don't want to let people talk unsupervised
    • Honestly, if only a sub reddit keeps a political movement alive, it isn't a political movement
  • But you need a very specific plant, dry-it, and burn-it. Just let some fruit ripe and you'll get alcohol. The ability to digest alcohol (rather than being poisoned) is one of the evolutionary advantage of some "great apes" including humans. It's pretty great because it give us access to more food. Look how fruits into alcohol (wine, cider and more) is a great way to preserve them for the winter

  • Amazon

    Jump
  • Don't use amazon !

The money you spent in a billionaire owned shop is less money for family owned shop in your community. Not only it transfer tons of wealth to billionaire, but having a nice neighbourhood bookstore, and other small business nearby is a real improvement to your local community and everyone benefits from it.

  • “the far right is rising” narrative is an attempt by the neo liberal establishment to trick class focused leftist into supporting the status quo as a bulwark against a far right rise.

I understand that it sucks when at the second round of the election you need to choose between a liberal-conservative and a far-righter, it sucks and you end-up bringing a pair of gloves to vote (Metaphorically, please don't do it on election day, spare some reporting to the volunteers).

However, we know the classic liberal-conservative, they want to reduce taxes (for the rich), cut down welfare benefit, won't vote any societal law, and might even pass a couple of regressions there (will healthcare system still cover transgender care ? Will they pass a law to defend the Christian roots ?)

Far-righter are a different kind, they suck at economy, and are obsessed with societal questions, look at US or Italy far example, look at their geopolitical view aligned with Putin. So basically individual rights will move backward (and it's not just about "LGBT" and "non white" rights), economy will tank (rich people will get bigger yacht while minimal wage worker will be fucked), and police will get more powerful than ever.

Moreover, the fact that their idea are popular means that liberals are allying with far-righter, like we see the budget for police increasing, better laws for private school (in the name of freedom), while they start to attack trans rights)

  • 9 month already ?

Well, I was already active on mastodon, and had a pixelfed account (but not active there) for years. So the reddit fiasco was the right time to move.

Moving to lemmy wasn't such of a big change as I was familiar with the federation, and the fediverse in general, was already considering it for a while.

  • I generally go to self-scan line, so it's the order in which I bought these. When I go to a more classical line, Heavy, then cold, then light so the heavy stuff goes on the bottom of the bag, the cool stuff in the middle (where they are a bit protected) and the light things on top
