Fair enough, is definitely not my experience and I have an account on .ml for about 1 year.
I could argue that I see more trolls on lemmy.world than any other instance, but that obvious: is the larger instance but probably the ratio troll/normal people is more or less the same than any other instance.
they’re the worst kind of “it’s not my job to explain it to you, Google it” people too.
That's a behaviour that I do not see ever on the communities that I participate(basically technology and linux)
If Tankie means somewhat supporting what the URSS/China did, then YES.
I'm not communist, I've never read the manifesto but I'm more aligned with their ideals and the materialism philosophy than anything else, and I saw this quote that marked me. I paraphrase: "... the worst communist implementation was still better/on par than the best capitalist country".
Cheap is relative, for me Hades was very cheap but steam changed the default price adjustment for my country and now Hades II cost almost twice for what I paid for Hades I.
I played Genshin with it for about 6 months before I quit and it worked pretty well, the downside is that when the game is updated the launcher has to be updated too and that takes some time. I never missed the dailies though.
The companies are to blame for the maintaining bullshit laws like this, but also Japanese companies in particular are the most aggressive and putrid with copyright laws. Sony probably makes more money from copyrighted music on youtube than selling exclusive games for the PS5.
Edit: Btw the real blame in the end of the day is the late stage capitalism that we live in.
People outside japan can buy the 1000000 mangas available? We have a way to translate this many mangas? Do we have a fucking online service that doesn't suck a lot? People have any hope to read legally that one random obscure manga that doesn't even exist anymore beside some random piracy site? But we gonna fight piracy anyway!!!
This kinda o shit + nintendo + sony fills my hatred for Japanese companies, more bullshit and I'll become more powerful in the dark side than Palpatine.
You skipped a few steps. Before you install Linux for your friend, you should first ask him what he uses the PC for, and if he plays games, what games does he play.
