  • I truly hope anyone that wishes to abandon Idaho and seek freedom will have the means and opportunity to do so as quickly as possible. Idaho isn't just an unsafe place for women. It's no longer a safe place to practice medicine which means it's not a safe place for anyone.

  • Okay. Here's what we've got... The Rand Corporation in conjunction with the saucer people and under the supervision of the reverse vampires are forcing our parents to go to bed early in a fiendish plot to eliminate the meal of dinner!

  • I like the idea of hot dogs more than I actually like hot dogs. Every now and then I get a craving for one and throw it on the grill but it's always slightly disappointing. It's never as good as I think it'll be. I need to learn to just stick with hamburgers. Those are never disappointing.

  • I'm of the opinion that populating lemmy with bots mirroring reddit content does not add any value to the threadiverse. Lemmy would be better served by everyone finding one article, image, video, whatever, each day and posting it in a relevant community, than by everyone setting up bots to spam the ALL feed with random content from reddit. And I try my best to practice what I preach.

    White Supremacist MAGAts:

  • Fortunately Minnesotans are legally required to take several dozen cases of Schell’s along with ‘em out on the ice for just such an emergency, don’tcha know.

  • States that participate in the federal program are required to cover half of the administrative costs, which would cost Nebraska an estimated $300,000. Advocates of the program note that the administrative cost is far outweighed by the $18 million benefit, which the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates would benefit 175,000 Nebraska children who might otherwise go hungry on some days during the summer.

Imagine being such a reprehensible monster that you'd let 175k children in your state starve rather than participate in a federal program that'd help feed them when school is out each summer. It's unconscionable.
