This is why I’ve already deleted basically everything, social media is a cancer that pushes us further and further apart and replaces meaningful interactions with vapid and shallow counterfeit interactions, it’s a net loss for anyone using it at this point.

As a Washingtonian I would be thrilled if the west coast became independent but there’s no movement towards it and of course the road getting there is unknowable, but as an abstract concept it’s lovely.
Red states have done nothing but hold places like where I live back, they’re actively dragging us down with them and it’s wildly unfair to ask me and my people to subsidize states that relish in our destruction and aim to drown us along side themselves. Red states don’t deserve to be subsidized, let them live with the consequences of their actions without the comfort blue states afford them and see how long those red state governments last.
Sounds like they were working as intended. In France they have speed cameras on the highway that average your speed over a distance and mail speeders tickets too, should be everywhere. Silly to stop such a wildly successful public safety campaign, if anything it’s clear this is a real problem and the program should be expanded. Why is signage needed? Follow the rules and don’t get a ticket is already a very well publicized concept, don’t speed and the cameras aren’t a problem
Americans are always about how we hate the government of a country but not the people, at least this American is and all the Americans I know are, I know it’s not literally universal. To say “I hate the Iranian government but not Iranian people” seems pretty reasonable if you hate the Iranian government but for them to turn around and basically say “well I consider all American entities, including completely powerless civilians free game” is fucked I’m no matter how you look at it. Like wtf more do you want from me? I vote against this, have for decades, I protest against this have been since W was in office, I donate money and energy to war torn countries, I’m absolutely against bombing any country why exactly am I considered fair game?? Fuck anyone who lumps entire countries of people into a single hive-mind that serves its leader, a fraudulent one no less

It turns out you can just not do that, I’m moving away from my phone in general since the internet sucks and I don’t see the point anymore and I’ve been a lot happier for it. Nothing is stopping anyone from just not doomscrolling
