Physics say a monopole magnet is mathematically possible, something like that would absolutely cause a disturbance because it doesn’t conform to the laws of physics we have defined like every action has an equal and opposite reaction… I think you’re right, something happened but I don’t know why it would be someone and not simply probability and the natural world conforming to that probability
I think I believe in something more like… biology and physics working together in some way to create our existence. I had a near death experience once when I was in ICU for several months. I met, a… thing, it was like a large glowing spark but its light didn’t travel away from its self, its glowing was contained to its “body”. I asked “is that me?” and the “room” we were in was filled with a sense of “no” it’s taken me ten years to process that experience and be able to talk about it, idk what that spark was but I’ve come to accept I believe that is the All Thing, it’s the eternal spark all sentient life stems from, I do believe access to long term memory is critical for being a part of the All Thing not simply being animated biology, like a mosquito for example.
I think the All Thing animates biology as a way to experience the physical world because it must “live” somewhere and we are all avatars, our thoughts are only important in the sense that they lead us to experiences and forming memories. I believe in nonduality and that physics is actually the closest humans will ever get to describing a god, an All Thing
It doesn’t have to make sense or make the outcome be better, the only thing it has to do is make the company look better on paper to its shareholders. If something can make the company look better on paper it will be done, the quality of the work is not relevant
I’m high risk, I am immune compromised, I take medicine twice a day everyday to prevent me from making enough white blood cells amongst other effects, I had a double lung transplant in 2014. The problem with disallowing the public to be vaccinated overlooks a critical piece of information, immune suppression makes vaccines less effective. While a vaccine may give a healthy person a 95% protection rate (being simplistic and just plugging in numbers here) but if you give me that same vaccine my immune system will react far less to that vaccine giving me significantly less protection. I rely on those around me being vaccinated and their high vaccine efficacy to make up for the fact vaccines are less effective for me, and anyone else who is high risk also relies on this. Herd immunity is critical for at risk populations because we can never achieve equal protection rates as able bodied people. It’s vitally important those around me do not catch and spread illness, their illness is a direct threat to me. Allowing me to be vaccinated is absolutely essential but I will still have significantly less protection once those around me are prevented from being vaccinated.
This is dangerous in so many ways and even the way it seems to be less dangerous really isn’t especially helpful. I actually have bad reactions to the covid vaccine, it messes up my menses for months, it makes my eyes bleed, I had body wide inflammation including acute pancreatitis and lymphedema of the cervix… so no matter what I do I’m in danger, I can wildly disregulate my already fucked up body and immune system in painful and dangerous ways or I can not vaccinate and risk Covid killing me. I still mask up and try to social distance and all that and am treated like a pariah for it, I was really looking forward to having a normal life once I had my bilateral lung transplant but it looks like I will always have to be an obviously disabled person who the world is actively trying to leave behind/ignore/kill
What adult cares what another adults spouse does in their own free time? Why is someone’s wife having so many conversations about this? So often they have to make a cringe “meme” to respond to these supposedly frequent conversations? Why is this persons wife straight up attacking other women and saying their spouse is unfaithful as if that is somehow the obvious outcome of thinking Lego is nerdy or whatever the point was
Even if she did, it’s private medical information, he’s no longer the president, it’s not a matter of public interest, they are not obligated tot ell us private medical information.
Considering how many people joke about wanting to die, who claim they have nothing to lose, are just waiting for “something” then do nothing once fascism shows up and they have a perfectly valid excuse to make a splash for a good cause and still don’t… I don’t actually think we have much to worry about, there’s an incredible disconnect between what people say/do and who they believe they are on the internet and reality
I think it’s weird you’ve made the assumption these professionals buying this haven’t already considered the things you’ve said… like that’s all looked at during the acquisition process
I’m married to a French, they aren’t really taught “the bad stuff” and are taught things like they were nicer/better to everyone than other colonizers so really they were the most morally righteous of their time so can’t be the ones who were wrong/are wrong. They use their anti-slavery status to ignore everything else and still consider themselves the country who invented culture… France is a lot like the US in the way it sees its self as righteous and superior and therefore anything they’ve done is right and understandable in the context it happened in. It’s weird talking to French people about French history because the scope of what they’re taught about is extremely limited and they’re extremely self righteous about it
Honestly if you actually accept and embrace this and start treating your body better because you realize it’s actually in charge and taking care of it takes care of you life gets a lot better
