  • I recently sat in a flight with a Boeing so old it still had ashtrays.

    I can't even Imagine this...

Edit: Of course none of them functional or used in any way... Same with the "non smoking" signs next to the "seatbelts" light up thingies on every seat group.

  • My thermostat hides no brainier features behind an "Ai" subscription. Switching off the heating when the weather will be warm that day doesn't need Ai... that's not even machine learning, that's a simple PID controller.

  • Ai is nice for code snippets that you don't have to look up any more. I switch between C and Python regularly and some days, coming back from a month of Python, I just need some reminders on how brackets work.

  • 700k is high for us but low for CEO pay... I don't see why CEOs should get as much money when they never have any liability but that's another question. (Or... what are they really good for, and couldn't they simply be replaced by the decision matrix their team builds for them anyways)

  • Shrooms? I love em! Lemon Tek, let's go!

But for Mental health it's pseudo healing. Maybe it helps for a few weeks, but issues are issues, shrooms help to isolate them but not to solve them. Get therapy.

Edit: I mean it. Issues have roots, some multiples. Shrooms help to isolate/understand these connections but it's not a magic "helping" potion. Shrooms can e.g. help with depression but if you don't change the circumstances, the issues shift/come back. (E.g. developing psychosomatic pain instead of depression). So, yes shrooms help... but only temporary if you don't pull the right learnings from it (which could be done on your own... but is srsly much much harder)
