Had a look at some of the commenters profiles, 1 littlerally said in their bio "proud scalper". Many had posted in various sale groups at very convenient times and a couple I traced to various other sites.

I got myself a Gameboy colour yesterday. I posted about how expensive they were a bit ago on reddit and I got spam downvoted by a bunch of Scalpers lmao. Another reason not to use Reddit. I got a blue teal one and grabbed some games today and it felt so amazing to feel and see in real life, a gameboy game.

Made a post on a subreddit basically saying how I had been trying to get a gameboy then scalpers jumped in and rose the price well past anything I could spend. It got some attention, basically a bunch of advice only useful for people making 8888888K a year. Then, overnight, a fuckton of mostly american scalpers spam downvoted me.

Friendica is the most beautiful and powerful social media software in the Fediverse: it can make you write long, formatted posts with in-line images, with title or without title, it can publish scheduled posts, it can make you follow websites with RSS feeds , Diaspora and GNU Social profiles, it has a connector for Bluesky and TumbIr, it can manage circles like Google+, it can manage public ActivityPub groups (basically like Lemmy communities) but also private ones, it manages activitypub events like those of Mobilizon and Gancio. I will take a bigger look at it now.
