  • I bounce around and go through "phases" of games I like to play quite regularly. Sometimes I like boomer shooters, sometimes I like platformers, sometimes I like RPGs, sometimes I like a weird mix of all of them.

  • My big ones are about tiredness and sleep. I drive for work (regularly between 6-10 hour drives) and there are times where I've had to pull off the highway and lean back for a little nap. I know it's already been said a couple times though.

If you're getting tired at all, you should find a place to stop sooner than later. Like others have said, you can do some stretches or walk around, maybe even some jumping jacks or something to get the blood pumping.

I don't usually go for energy drinks or coffee, but sodas and other drinks are fine for me. And snacks do help keep you awake with the mindless energy of chewing something.

Someone said long form audio to listen to, such as audiobooks or long podcasts. Music can work, but I find it can get monotonous after a while and it'll kinda make you sleepy.

  • I thought Reagan started all this? Or Nixon? If only we could agree (not that this matters literally at all at this point) in who actually started us down the path of fascism. It's so hard to keep the demagogues in order these days...

Or we could just agree that shit's fucked and we need to do something about it without trying to point fingers or blame on any specific person in the last 60 years who is already dead and long gone.

  • When I went to the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa, I was in a big crowd huddled around it behind stanchions with two guards on either side. It's a cool painting, and it's cool to say I saw it in person I guess, but the museum itself is fucking HUGE. I don't think I even saw all of it that one day, and we were there for a few hours.

I took a picture of it through another guy's phone in front of me. He was about to take a picture, as he held up his phone for a good angle, and I snapped it as it was on his screen.

  • That's kinda my point with my previous comment. If the devs say they're done working on a game, most g*mers will take that to mean "stop playing our game and find something else" which makes literally zero sense.

You presumably spent money on this, let alone however many hours playing and having fun, and now just because the people who made it say they aren't adding anything new in the foreseeable future you totally drop the game. But I also kinda meant in another sense for stuff that's actively in development.

Take Elder Scrolls 6 for example (or even Cyberpunk 2077): the announcement trailer came out 7 years ago, and yet there have been other projects in the pipeline as well, such as Starfield and other updates for other games. You will get a constant stream of posts from impatient G*mers complaining, bitching and whining, coping and seething about "the fact that there's been no news of Elder Scrolls 6 for years."

My response always has been and always will be "then go make your own game and see how easy it is to make it do all the things you want"

  • Because G*mers need a constant stream of news telling them that their current chosen favorite game is actively being worked on lest they forget and "move on" to something else.

I swear, the sheer amount of bullshit (complaining about character models, character pronouns, character creators, literally anything else) I see from gaming communities and subreddits is actually ridiculous. G*mers are literally the most entitled people on the goddamn planet.

  • There needs to just be a Mortal Engines game at this point. Like honestly it would translate pretty well to some form RTS type game, what with the whole geopolitical nonsense that's present throughout the books.

  • You could levitate and so many of the caves and dungeons in that game had straight up secret areas you could only get to by levitating.

There's a side quest that you can only get if you levitate up to a ledge at the very bottom of a Daedric ruin.
