I absolutely love Manic Miners (the fan remake of the old Rock Raiders game). The customization so you can make your own mining crew, all the old-school parts that are in the game, everything about it is fantastic.
That's kinda like Absolute Batman. Alfred is an MI6 agent investigating Batman and the other gangs, and after a while they start working together because Alfred believes in the Mission.
Batman actually blasts Alfred at point-blank with a "non-lethal" shotgun in their very first meeting. I say "non-lethal" because the shotgun shoots mini batarang-shaped shrapnel. And Alfred just has a bunch of tiny batarangs sticking out of his face after the shot.
I wouldn't necessarily chalk it up to laziness or whatever. Imo it's just different games do different things differently. It doesn't break my immersion or mean the game is less fun to me.
In Oblivion Remastered, in third-person, when you run in a straight line either left or right your character will do this kind of sideways/backwards jog instead of straight-up strafing like they'll do in Morrowind.
Imo either one makes sense when compared to real life, but maybe I've just been playing games too long?
God the Oblivion Remaster is seriously one of the best looking games I've ever played. I love the new looks for almost everything, but the window effect on Oblivion gates still feels a little off to me. It still looks cool though.
I still can't get over just how good everything looks though.
I'm surprised you think it's repetitive and it makes you want to go back to Skyrim lol.
But that said, anytime I play an Elder Scrolls game, I always get the urge to play the other ones too, so I get it. It usually ends up taking months of my life away whenever it happens though.
I've been playing the Remaster and it looks immaculate, and it's the same game. Different strokes I know, but I am loving the Remaster so far.
That said, I got Schedule 1 the other night and I put in two all-nighters already so far. That game is addicting - like the crack you can cook and sell in it.
You'd be surprised. There are/were mods for Marvel's Spider-Man to replace the Pride flags flying around NYC to American flags. I'm almost positive there were some fucked up ones for the Miles Morales game too.
Maybe it was something like a word-swap mod to change "type 1/type 2" to "male/female" that got banned?
No clue. /s
ETA: which, I saw a couple posts in the steam discussions "celebrating" that Nexus put that mod back up. Like how fucking childish do you have to be to actually go out of your way to make a post like that? Saying shit like "I bet all the people who complained about it in the first place are CRYING right now!" It's literally changing some words in a menu of a fucking video game
Everyone gains collective amnesia about all the good times they had playing/modding Bethesda games whenever they're in the news cycle for some reason. It's kind of fascinating/frustrating.
Add in the fact that a lot of these people have regressed over the past 10 or so years to the point where they think like 12-13 year olds again, and we get this whole "anti-woke gamer" bullshit.
To be completely fair though, I had to go out of my way to find people shitting on the game for even being "woke" in the first place. I saw the type 1/type 2 body type when I was making my character, but I just figured it was a natural progression since every other game with a character creator in the last 5 years has done away with gendered body types, and Oblivion is such a classic that it might have been overlooked; sadly not. In my head though (also because duh, it's obvious if you use your eyes) I ascribe each to male or female, and it took me like a second to get through that entire thought process.
My mom embarrassed me all the time as a kid, but only because she's a boisterous, loud personality. She never really did anything on purpose, and I was never the one to throw a tantrum in public so there was no need.
I remember watching Grand Thumb's video on actual grand thumb, because I had never known it was a thing (I'm not huge on guns and I like history, but not that much) and thought it was interesting. A couple years later and there's a video of him shooting guns with a couple other guntubers out in the bush, and iirc there wasn't anything explicitly said or stated in the video, but I just got an overwhelming vibe of "good ol' boys shootin and drinkin and talkin trash" which rubbed me the wrong way.
Asmon is fucking disgusting human trash who wallows in his own filth, thinking it's normal to do. Like letting rats decompose into the carpet right next to where he sleeps, or not cleaning up his vomit "because he liked the smell"
