And yes, I know a lot of them aren’t actually recycled but end up at a landfill all the same
Really? Got a source on that? I know that we're still not that good in recycling plastics in general, But last time I checked the quota of PET recycling was quite high.
Rule of thumb: if the presented findings are not in the (commercial, political) interest of the sponsor, they are probably correct. If they do agree though, they are probably false or at least misleading.

It's never too late to start doing something you love. Even if it means to entirely switch careers. You can be proud of yourself for pursuing this, even if it means leaving a comfort zone. :)
Don't be so bold. Microsoft is investing in military AI applications. So don't be surprised when your computer slaps that camera right out of your hands and punches you in the face. /j (or not, idk, things are looking bad)
While more research is needed, this could be valuable insight for education and treatment of memory disorders, and it could help uncover novel ways to help people maximize their cognitive performance.
"We believe that manipulating brain activity during sleep or sleep patterns may uncover methods to enhance memory by unlocking the brain's latent potential," Inokuchi says.
Sounds quite like Sci-Fi to me. Maybe the way our brains and sleep processes have evolved are already good enough. Meddling with that will require immense care.
I'm all in for making our brains less smooth, but I hope these optimization potentials will be driven by the goal of making us better as humans. This should not be driven by capitalistic forces that would make us just more efficient cogs in the machine.
Not everything in life needs to be financially efficient.
