Palworld fans are toxic as fuck. Not nearly as bad as sending death threats, instead more like in a way they can't express their love for the game by also not shitting on something else, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Most of the criticisms are also in really bad faith, with often the "multibillion dollar company" being used to deflect how bad faith those criticisms are.
Culture war rots people's mind, and many just wants to win either internet points, still have the "early age of console wars" mentality, don't want to criticize the underlying systems, etc.
It will depend on how (if at all) will they maintain the game, and how that will turn out. Some might be just buying extra copies and leaving it running on a backup toaster PC, just to stick it to Nintendo/wokes/artists/whatever. Most people seem to having fun with it.
The devs of Palworld also have to wake the fuck up, since their game looks like an asset flip. Sure it doesn't plays like one, but looks like one (no art direction, just use whatever stuff they could get their hand on).
Long term is where things can fall apart. Yeah, currently stuff goes well to Putin, but the moment the Russians realize their emperor is naked, Russia will have a very bad time, with the worst thing that can happen to them is a Balkanization with all of its nastiness.
Not necessarily. Generative AI hasn't been advancing as much as people claim, and we are getting into the "diminishing returns" phase of AI advancement. If not, we need to switch gears in our anti-AI activism
I was so heartbroken once I saw the Mastodon handle of Jack Saint (leftist youtuber), only to the last post of his being "I'm moving to BlueSky". I'm also asked WhiteLeaf (worker coop behind leftist streamers's stuff) if they thought on starting their own Mastodon or other instance.
ACAB means the police is upholding unjust systems and laws, isn't that cops as individuals are bad. Of course a large percent of them are domestic abusers and racist, but that's an entirely different issue.
I'm not a Nintendo fan, but:
