Not on my iOS at least. I’ll get an option on the ellipsis button drop-down menu to edit this comment, but for the drop down on the opening post I cannot.
I agree. But I’m still evaluating if it’s worth it. I search a lot. I’ve already had to upgrade to the $10 a month plan. I might have to upgrade to the $25.
That’s a lot. I love it though. I’ll probably end up canceling some streaming service in favor of keeping Kagi.
This is still a prevalent error and mayor issue imho.
Edit: even worse, when I’m trying to post a comment that gets blocked by this error, the only real option in the UI is to delete the post unless I want to endlessly retry.
However, sometimes when I choose delete, I’ll later visit the thread and it says “Deleted by user” with my username. Well dough I was never able to complete the submission of my post in the first place!
It is developed by Prox Dynamix of Norway, basically just a single, genius engineer in the beginning. It was bought by American FLIR Systems in 2016 for $134 millions, which just seems dirt cheap.
This doesn’t work for me when browsing /home or /all etc.
Sometimes I want to return to the top and for some reason I expect to be able to tap the already active “Posts” icon to the very left on the bottom bar to achieve this, but it does nothing for me.
I’m not as worried by data logged by the os as such, but don’t want it sold to third party ad networks.
I use both macOS and Windows daily for combined work/personal stuff so hard to avoid. I trust Apples use of my data a little more than I trust Microsoft.
All my devices are always behind a VPN and always behind a DNS filter that blocks most vendor tracking from Apple, Microsoft etc. You have to allow a fair bit through for some functionality to work though.
Interesting, there is still a wefwef community so I would have thought that was the first search result, but he said that he “closed” it when he rebranded, and I don’t know how Lemmy handles that.
So I guess a mod can lock and “archive” a community so it doesn’t appear in searches, but those that was already subscribed can see it?
But this link that goes to the post in that community still works.
I don’t use TikTok and welcome replaceable batteries, but I also still hope for a waterproof iPhone I can take swimming. Probably be harder to do.
