  • Like I said my nearest cinema is 18.50 a ticket. Ignoring the snacks that's still a bawhair shy of 40 quid. And like I said I ain't paying yhat for anything less than a film I'm hyped about beforehand.

And again it's kinda besides the point

Edit you know what sod it.

Their snacks are 13.50 for a box of popcorn and a drink. My wife and I split the popcorn and get an extra drink.

So no the numbers ain't silly.

  • Odeon sells "all you can watch" tickets for £14 a month. £17 for the "all you can watch" with premium seats updates.

These are only good if you are ghe kind of person who goes to the cinema allot. This isn't me. Even before covid I could count on 1 hand the number of times I went in a year.

Ironically the last 2 films I saw in a cinema was captain marvel and end game. Cap being a big reason why I was already indifferent.

  • I'm not in the us collages are generally vocational here with both colleges being less (while not totaly) concerned by the money side.

For example where I live university courses are free for those in country outside they pay fees

Dunno how it's done elsewhere but our course are usually measured in 3 parts 1 exam 2 practical 3 essey/investigation. Everyone hates exams

  • When I was at uni lecturers would often state that exams were thr worst measure of grasping the subject material but its all we have at the moment.

I saw this my self with some of my class mates testing very well but when discussing or problem solving outside of the class there was nothing there.

I think llms fall into this category but with way better recall.

  • Tht would be wired there's dune games out all the time. Saw 1 last night with portraits of the current cast. From the screenshot it would make my monkey brain bleed though

Also dune 2 was fucking amazing

  • In the context of prehistory it's to my knowledge taken to be short for mankind and feck all else. I agree its ambiguous in the modern age which is likely why it's dieing out. Science doesn't like ambiguous wordage

In history where we have names and context I absolutely agree and it is good to see the important women in history finally getting brought to the forefront

  • For this reason I have completely stopped watching a thing new. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of great shows ut I'm just sick of a great show ending on cliffhanger thT will never get resolved

  • It's wielder that that. There was a period when my plastics bin actively got rejected if the caps were still on the bottle. To this day I have no clue why but they can't do that anymore

  • Nahh not competing with outlook or teams.
