I can move away from google but I have a lot of sites that I need to swap to using a different email address. Slowly working on it.

If they start showing me this message, I’ll have no reasonable choice except to disable the ad blockers for YouTube. Sadly I’m embedded in the Google world with a gmail account and I use their photos service. I can’t risk losing access to those.

No doubt they’ll roll this anti ad block technology out to their other sites in the future and the internet will suddenly be a bleak, hideous place.

As soon the A/C turns on for the season, the fridge and freezer conspire to automatically order burgers, buns and trimmings online. If you’re really lucky, they’ll also order you a new BBQ, if the old one doesn’t wake up and respond within 24 hours. I think it’s worth investigating. I took a look but I didn’t want to deal with the file chunking, and settled on something slow and simple in SFTPGO.

I use an ad blocker but I cringe when I see my wife viewing a short recipe online, on a page with 10+ ads.

I’ve been using Debian with Cinnamon desktop for a while. I tried XFCE but it didn’t click and I really disliked how you added an app launcher to the dock. Cinnamon gets out of my and just works for the little that I need.
