The world stops without teachers working. Many people rely on them for childcare so that they can go to work. Air traffic controllers are very important. But many orders of magnitude less important for our economy than teachers.

We can discuss abolition of cops some other time, but we aren’t going to see eye to eye on this. They and firefighters are not on the critical path of daily capitalism like teachers though.

The postal service is unable to legally strike. They struck in the 70s (?) illegally and got tons of concessions and no one went to prison for it. Seems like teachers could do something similar. We wouldn’t miss cops and, unfortunately, firefighters also wouldn’t be missed (we still love them, unlike cops).

Biden and company had the chance to put Trump in jail immediately after Jan 6. Trump did some blatantly illegal shit and most of the country was aghast. He prioritized other shit and appointed Merrick Does Nothing Garland because of vibes or something. So Trump and the media was able to rehabilitate his image and memory hole the attack on our constitution.

Biden could have worked on court reform since this fascism is coming from the fed soc six. Nothing he did would stand up to them, but he made a blue ribbon panel that said it was all good. The justices then gave Trump immunity to do whatever the fuck he wants. Meaning he can pardon people for criminal acts. There is no check anymore.

The Dems should have seen what is coming from the fascists. They even called Trump a fascist, half heartedly given that they also wished him well after he got shot (or maybe they are just cool with fascists?). They knew about project 2025. But are we seeing any resistance to the destruction of our government from them? No. But I am getting plenty of fundraising texts.

I voted for Harris but I was screaming the whole election that she was going to lose because she needed to distance herself from Biden quickly. She started well by picking Walz but then Velcroed herself to Biden after that. It sapped all the energy out of her campaign. Just fucking idiotic.
