  • I know the feeling all too well. Even my little Italian grandmother does it when she cooks a big meal for the family.

  • It is basically impossible for me to cook for one person unless it's a burger and fries type situation. I find it hard to cook for just myself as well.

  • It really tracks I feel like, the stuff I made last night that I couldn't stand... I can't wait to tear into for dinner tonight. It's a fucked up world hahaha.

  • It's not that I'm cooking food I don't like. It does happen more often when the food I make isn't exactly what I want at the moment, but it's what I have. It could happen with basically anything though, doesn't really matter the quality of food - after I've cooked it for however long I just might not want it anymore.

  • There are definitely a few foods I can do that with, you're playing a dangerous game lol. But there are also some foods I think I can't do it with, like gumbo and red beans and rice, and after the 3rd day I'm so over it even if I thought it was delicious the first two days.

  • Yea that might have something to do with it as well, as I mentioned in another comment I just ordered some yellow thai curry because it's my comfort food, I might try to pick that up or Indian food does sound nice. Chicken vindaloo...uuuuuugh.

  • Yea, I get that completely, I did it a loooooot on the line in the kitchen. Honestly I would rather eat like that most of the time, a Frenchman would be horrified lol.

But being full from pecking at your dishes is totally different from not wanting to eat food you've just cooked for yourself like you said.

  • I'm really not associating the act of cooking with work, I really enjoy it actually, I think it's more of the smell fatigue you mention. I've already ordered my comfort food (yellow thai curry), but next time it happens, I'll give that a try. Because it's not like I'm not hungry, I just look at it, and I'm like damn I would rather starve than eat this.

  • Yep, police out there are predatory as fuck. They know it's low income and they'll harass any poor soul they can.

  • Ok, no one will ever believe me and that's ok, but when I was a wee lad I took a trip up north to Tennessee (lol) and I swear on everything in this bush by a tree I saw two golden little beetles similar to that. A lot smaller but yea they were just... right there, it felt special but I really had no idea, still dont really. I thought someone had spray painted them or something, they were so shiny.

  • The overwhelming majority of the symbols they counted as hate speech were Pepe. They are cherry picking data and running with it. Racist shit is a problem on steam but they're blowing this way out of proportion.

  • I played 1. Skipped 2. Went into 3. Boy did I wish I played 2 before 3. I missed a lot.

  • Noooo shhhhh, we're not supposed to talk about HOW THE PENTAGON HAS NEVER PASSED AN AUDIT. We're supposed to be talking about the border, come on people, get it together.

  • I was particularly interested in this as well and Rogan has stated that he would have "done it for free" and he was given opportunities to do interviews at specific times and places but the kamala team didn't want to go sit down with him in Texas, for whatever reason. So he ultimately didn't do it because she wouldn't come down - just like Trump did - and talk for a few hours on his podcast.

I think it was a huge mistake to not go on it and echo your sentiment that they should get their message out to anyone who would listen. But when it comes down to it, it was both parties who had some type of predisposition to how the interview was going to shake out, which caused it to fall apart.

  • He was an incredibly smart man, and I'm sure this kept him up at night. If you haven't, I would suggest going to listen/watch some interviews with him and you might get some insight as to where his mind was at.

One thing that really stuck with me was one thing he said "Failure is an inevitability of sucess".

  • If anyone read the report about the hate comments, you would know that they consider Pepe to fall into this category and was the OVERWHELMING majority of the percentage of what they refer to as hate speech... and it is just a frog. Pepe was 1st in percentage while swastikas were 2nd at 9% - just to give you an idea. Also steam has over a billion users, over a hundred million active users and if you crunch the numbers, it is less than a percent of accounts posting this thing of material. I'm not saying racist shit on steam isn't a problem, but they're blowing it up way out of its actual scope.

  • When did nexus mods become shady?

  • This was totally (in my humble opinion) service for someone who "donated" to the new governor before he got elected. It was one of the first things he did it felt like. LA is plagued with a cliqued up, corrupt political system basically since its inception. I'm just glad that this shit got shot down further up the line. These damn Christian nationalists are a huge problem for any forward momentum that gets traction in legislation and only drag us backwards it feels like.

  • SARUMAN THE STINKY

  • These people have no concept of geo politics and global trade. For example, we produce a lot of the world's soy, that's a major export, not many other countries do it on a large scale like that - so we cut the other countries some slack and tell them we won't produce this particular good so you can have a hand in the global economy. Yes having the production here would be ideal as I'm all for it, but the world is so much more than Murica and they can't see past their fucking noses.
