  • I also just re-played through this, mgs1 is a fantastic game for so many reasons. It brought me back to when games were meant to be fun and not a grind fest.

I would also like to say maybe take the downtime you have now and play through the VR missions for 2, they add a lot in when it comes to functions of sneaking and playing those will really make you aware of the tools at your disposal, that's currently what I'm doing when I feel like it.

  • Yea, I try to be as nice as I can on the internet. There's no reason to be an ass other than you're miserable and want other people to be as well.

It's a mixed bag though, I've had some people be assholes but I ignore them if they have nothing of substance to say and focus on the positive communications.

Also, blocking the Linux communities really helped my feed. Idk what it is about the Linux superiority complex. Although I feel like most of it comes from a good place, the delivery of the information usually isn't the best.

  • R A D U L A

  • What a champ. Glad to know he's doing better. Been following this saga closely. Thanks to the user's who have donated, you're awesome.

  • Now just imagine it with no beak

  • All depends on your personality and possible HOA's in a more populated area.

Personally, I don't have a problem being separated from people, and you don't have to be lonely just because you're away from people - animals can provide you company and keep you busy. I would go with the more recluse location as you can do what you with your property more so than in a neighborhood. Grow a garden, have a bon fire, and just generally have more freedom. Land and houses are generally cheaper a little farther out so that also helps. As long as you have a reliable mode of transportation then living farther away from people is my go to. Also, a plus if you work remote and don't have to commute.

  • You put the brace in the palm of your hand and use this in a swiping motion and not so much a straight jab so you don't hurt yourself in the process. Don't slide the piece all the way down your fingers, the image seems to have it right.

  • I've seen a lot of this lately. Is it out yet and if it is where can I download this?

  • I like this a lot, it's a like a penalty to stay inside and recoup for awhile as well as a check to see if you can survive with the resources you've saved but 3rd times the charm to seal the deal. What's the mod name?

  • I mean, if idiots want to live there and own the property, that's on them. But those are the same people who vote red and I 100% believe that when push comes to shove and they lose everything (again) they'll be looking for government assistance.

  • Property is selling very high in the parish I'm from adjacent to orleans parish. People have forgotten about Katrina and have faith in the levee system. Property is also selling high in New orleans as well unless it's a dog shit area.

  • Insurance does not want to pay and will find any way not too. My grandparents house flooded in Katrina along with mine and the rest of my family's and 90% of the rest of the parish and my grandparents never saw a red cent from the insurance they faithfully paid because of some technicality on the way that the house flooded.

A lot of people have already moved north across the lake and into Mississippi but people are getting complacent and building million dollar homes on multiple lots that have been abandoned since Katrina.

  • Just YouTube some news pieces about climate change and Grand Isle, those turds literally have said they aren't going anywhere till the last piece of land is underwater. Literal hubris of man.

  • Man whenever a hurricane is in the gulf and my family is all like "pray it doesn't come our way" I'm just like... so you're asking God to ruin someone else's life? Shit is insane.

  • My grandmother's home insurance has gone up close to 1000$ the past two years combined. I've been wanting to leave this doomed place for awhile, and I can't wait to buy a house in the mountains.

  • Yea that's kinda what I was getting at in my comments on here, maybe not necessarily this comment you replied to, but elite definitely had the ship aspect of the game down, it feels so good to fly around, bur you're totally right in how you called it a space trucking feel. That's where I get tired of it even if you can get out of your ship with the expansion now. With all of the comments here I think I'll wind up buying it here soon and giving it a whirl.

  • I would say I do to an extent, but elite dangerous solo is pretty egregious i just feel really confined even though you can get out of your ship now. If there were a few more things to do it would check all of the boxes such as things you could do in NMS like build bases, etc. And plus the ship customization is strictly internals and you don't have the ability to change the overall look of your ship besides skins.

  • Yea Elite Dangeous is kind of the same, you have to make your own objectives or you're just running missions to make money to buy ships to be more efficient at those runs and eventually even bigger ships to make more money.

  • Yea, I would have to agree wholeheartedly that the ship flying is awesome in Elite. The ambiance is great, such as the creaking of the ship when in hyper drive. I guess the games are two different kind of space Sims. If what you're telling me is accurate about NMS then Elite is probably better for me in the long run, I just wish I had a friend who would actually play it with me and make space a little less lonely - I guess I would have the same problem in either title come to think of it.

  • As someone who wanted to love Elite Dangerous but couldn't get behind the grind and monotony of it, would this game be worth getting now?
