  • Not at all, you just have to act upon their threats and to stop ignoring them. After the Waco Seige and the OKC bombing the government is scared to act against extremely violent right wing groups like MAGA.

  • Not, I meant Quackers. The Amish are horrific people.

  • Why? I've never had any problems with the Washington Post site or app. I personally think it's the best newspaper site online.

  • Despite long advocating small government and local control, Republican governors and legislators across a significant swath of the country are increasingly overriding the actions of Democratic cities — removing elected district attorneys or threatening to strip them of power, taking over election offices and otherwise limiting local independence.

State lawmakers proposed nearly 700 bills this year to circumscribe what cities and counties can do, according to Katie Belanger, lead consultant for the Local Solutions Support Center, a national organization focused in part on ending the overreach it calls “abusive state preemption.”

  • Do you suggest that the world's population revert to a Quaker lifestyle? Seems really boring.

  • When it takes two people's income to live in the middle class, there is no time for children until much later. The trend is to have children at 30, when you are starting to make a decent income.

  • This is good from an employment perspective as we move to AI and automation, replacing 2.4 million US jobs by 2030. We are getting to the point where you will need to work in a specialized trade or be highly educated in a specialized field if you want a paycheck. All low-skill jobs will be replaced by AI or automation.

  • I think you have to get 20 out of 100 questions right. Looking at the questions it really easy. It is fill in the blank though. Probably the hardest question is 'Who is the Speaker of the House'.

  • Your choice is between President Biden, who has been a good President or the Antichrist. There isn't anyone else running that is worth my time to look at. Your argument should wait until 2028 when Pete Buttigieg is the top candidate. Probably the most intelligent member of the Federal Government right there.

  • Trump might be the biggest reason to vote against him, but Republicans have played all their cards and threatened the American people's rights. Even if he is locked up, Biden would still win.

  • We need someone to stand up to Trump and protect our nation from a Tyrant. So far Joe Biden is the only individual with the titanium balls to do that. So yes, he is the only person standing between our Republic and a Christian Fascist Theocracy.

  • That's the point of Political discussion, to grow your arguments and to learn from mistakes. It isn't to convince someone to chance their position, that is impossible.

  • That's not blue, it's aqua! Both are blue Karen!

A Republic has a Consitution that separates power away from a single person.

A true Democracy has no means of protecting against a tyrant.

  • If Trump wins, you stop investing your money, pull it completely out of the bank, do not buy anything at all beyond basic needs. You want the economy to implode and your investments are safe at home. Beyond that you can't do much else.

  • My primary job was a logistics account, but that meant I had to inventory high value items at Forward Operating Bases in Iraq and Afghanistan and I drove in a few convoys, only once anything significant happened.

  • Not everyone is willing to be a public servant. Of all the things from Starship Troopers, that is something I liked. I'm a fan of granting a free college education to public servants, military or govt employees after four years of service.

Citizenship isn't a perk of military service in the United States, you don't have to be a citizen to serve but you still earn the benefits.

  • Trump would turn on the them and immediately take away their guns.

  • Trump has stated he wants to end citizenship by birth many times. If passed anyone wanting to a citizen would be required to pay the $640 application fee and $85 biometrics fee at USCIS. The process takes 18-24 months and involves a background check, interview, and written 100 question exam.
