I sometimes wonder what I casually believe because I read it while scrolling for something interesting. I don't have the time or inclination to fact check every single detail I come across.
The display being at a higher resolution doesnt help either. Running retro games on my fancy flatscreen hi-def massive TV makes them look and feel so much worse than on the smaller fuzzy CRT screens of the time.
I can't stand modern games with lower frame rates. I had to give up on Avowed and a few other late titles on the series S because it makes me feel sick when turning the camera. I assume most of the later titles on xbox will be doing this as theyre starting to push what the systems are capable of and the series S can't really cope as well.
Fable 4 if it's getting a mention. It's the only game I'm actually excited for any more.
The only games I truly enjoyed these days have been unexpected indie hits that are impossible to predict, you don't know theyre coming or good until they happen.
I don't know why Fable is immune to my thickening shield of apathy, but basically every other game I see I just think "yeah it looks pretty but I'm pretty sure I played it 20 times before"
Im relying on sts2 to break the grip for me. I kinda wanna be "STS2 sucks, it's not as good as the original they ruined it somehow. Also why would I ever bother playing STS when 2 is out? Better find something else to obsess over"
I think it doesnt matter so much where the line is, because people who want to be offended by that kind of thing will find something to be offended about.
I don't see anything wrong with those examples in that article. I see it as like a giant game of "Guess Who" when I'm trying to talk about a specific member of the group to someone who doesnt know who's who. Nothing wrong with saying Mitch is "the Asian classmate" if he's the only one.
I've seen people desperately trying not to say "the black guy" when there's only one black guy and they're trying to narrow it down. "He's sort of tall and has glasses and a beard but not like a full beard and I think he was wearing a tie and" its interminable.
Using "othering" aggressively, implying that the differences matter, is a problem. Using it as an identifiable feature is only a problem to PC Principal.
Also the message didn't sit right with me unless I missed a bit. It quite clearly draws parallels between Beekind and slavery/prejudices, and shows the hero overcoming the system and liberating the bees.
I don't think so, but maybe in the extremes. There's some people with such low IQ they have difficulty following cooking instructions on a microwave meal. It might be possible to have such limited capacity that they're immune to depression.
Maybe it's a thing that only certain people do, like rolling your tongue. Looking at a bright light doesnt make me sneeze, and until just now I thought it was just an old wives tale, like remedies for curing hiccups. Doesn't work but widely believed.
Its secure enough for the average person. If your friend was a big deal, super rich or powerful and a massive target it would be easy enough to figure out.

Recurring theme, hard to pick the scariest, but there's a shape-shifter after me, like the liquid terminator or something. I know what it is, it thinks I know but might not be able to catch me. It tries to get close to me while I try to get away without letting on that I know. Really socially tense and my life is on the line.
Scariest one was the first time I remember having it. My dad took the dog for a big walk and drove off in the car. A couple minutes later my dad walks in the house without a car, staring eye contact at me, absolutely neutral expression, and walking slowly towards me. I ask where the dog is and he doesnt even respond, just walks back out the room and reappears immediately with the dog on the lead, also staring at me. I don't remember how that one ends, but they got more convoluted and cat-and-mousey after that. Sometimes I got away and sometimes it caught me and stabbed me up.
Now any time anyone starts acting strange around me I always pinch my nose to see if im dreaming. I haven't had that dream for about 15 years but it sticks with me.
Absolutely. I haven't personally pirated anything since getting netflix years ago, but its looking more and more tempting to get back into it.
