  • You might be right, and I hope you are. But I'm also at least partially right too. There are far right conservatives in the military, many of them (even if not the majority, a big enough minority).

The main sentiment of my comment was people like us going about our day to day hoping the military will "do the right thing", effectively disobey orders maybe? Disobey the president? Isn't it ingrained into them to not do that?

Its not going to be that easy.

  • Musk has got to be nervous right now. It seems everyone is siding with trump. The maga cult is really dedicated to their lord and savior.

I will be very happy to see musks downfall. But I was definitely hoping for more of a fracture on both sides, with some split support for Musk. Would've been better for damaging the maga side too.

I wonder if Musk survives this. Certainly possible, as the public has a very short attention span. We'll see. Here's to hoping he sees nothing but failure from here on out.

  • You're 100% correct. And capitalism is going to fight tooth and nail to come up with capitalist explanations and capitalist solutions, whatever those may be.

At the end of the day, the masses go to jobs for long hours that they hate, even if they "followed their passion". Capitalist hustle adds overwork, and takes from the joy of some work you may have potentially enjoyed. Not to mention jobs that are very necessary, yet very unenjoyable like construction or factory work or whatever. The pay is only enough to cover costs, so you have to keep working and can never escape.

All of this to prop up the billionaire class so they can enjoy giant mansions, Lamborghinis, yachts, and whatever.

Have a kid? I don't have the money, nor do I want an innocent child living this life.

  • Yikes. Listening to him talk, and his security guy or whoever that was, leaves a really sickening feeling in my gut. They come across as psychopaths for some reason. It's that cheap charisma that feels so off-putting. I worry what those types of billionaires do in private that will never reach the light of day. Epstien Island type stuff we'll never know about.

  • If a foreigner blocks an American from using a drinking fountain when they're thirsty, the foreigner should be immediately executed and the fountain should be marked as whites only... oops I mean Americans only.

  • Why's it a bad idea to get rid of coins at this point anyway. What can you still buy that is a fraction of a dollar that actually matters? Anything that cheap can just be sold in multiples that amount to even dollar amounts.

Getting rid of coins and rounding to nearest dollar sounds great to me but I don't know what the drawbacks are.
