RIP halo, my favorite competitive shooter ever 😭 infinite is such an absolute botch.

There's a lineagoOS fork that comes prepackages with microG as well, helping to keep google services style stuff working (maps links etc) without using any actual google services. It's my daily driver, would recommend!

YMMV - some stuff still flat out doesn't work if it's too reliant on google services. Graphene is definitely better in that regard, if you have a pixel.

Its a solid stand-in for a mid-tier laptop! Most everyday laptop stuffs like web browsing and code editing it drives like a charm!

Don't expect too much, though! From my experience video editing is a bit too heavy for the lil guy - and some softwares can be kinda tough to run due to the sandboxed nature of steamOS (eg visual studio code, librewolf).

I think switching to another OS like Cashy or (if it doesn't get axed?) Bazzite would probly be the way to go if you intend to use it for more than simple apps & web browsing!

Yeah denuvo is such a buzzkill. I used to dislike it on performance grounds alone.... But dude, when I went to play dead space on a plane for the first time, and that lil fucker told me it required internet to allow single player gameplay? 😤 fuuuuuck that. Never again.

Ya'll should be sure to get the DLC for outer wilds as well! And I'm sure you know, but go in as blind as possible!!

There was a post recently on c/privacy for a self hostable (relaying) peer-to-peer web based option! Its effectively release 1.0 and has some bugs (some serious security ones at the moment), but I think it has lots of promise!!
