  • Actually I had a discussion with the same claim on reddit a year ago or so when he stated to use bromide instead when updated at his fdroid repo at mulch wv page, and divestos's dev replied himself and basically took his words back (can't find the source, sry, but I'm u/xpeen and you're welcome to search the comments too lol).

    Also, I too see no reasons to use chromium based browser on PC, I rarely use it on mobile when I HAVE to.

  • Imagine saying e2ee messaging apps are spyware while SMS sending plaintext. No one told you to use Facebook messenger or even WhatsApp, there are privacy friendly options like signal or matrix based apps (Element for example).

  • Yep. the whole vaping industry got ruined because of this, and it wasn't even related to said industry. I guess it's just another example of what lobbying is capble of.

    the smoking/cancer connection was noticed long before peak cigarette smoking in the population. Prior to WWII, lung cancer was considered a rare disease. That changed with the mass marketing of cigarettes.

    With vaping, lots of studies on pg/vg vaping was done and not much has been found. The UK gov supports it for years now. Most of the bad name of vaping caused by people who didn't bother to research or people who confused it with the EVALI cases,which bought their products illegally and contained vitamin E

  • I really have no idea why they're limited in functionalities I think the only website that didn't work for me on mull is instagram (fuck it anyway). And librewolf portable solved the no updates for me (although there is an addon for letting u know about updates), while letting me back up my data more easily
