Does the reddit style format breed toxicity?

  • Maybe you could give Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo a try? They're both written by Jose Rizal, and depicts life in the Philippines during the colonial rule of Spain (in the lens of fictional tragic romance). I have only finished El Filibusterismo for school last February, though.

  • One on lemmy.world (June 15th), this account I've made on lemmy.fmhy.ml (July 3rd), and one on lemmynsfw (also July 3rd). My lemmy.fmhy.ml account is my main now, I only login on lemmy.world if I want a more up-to-date feed and content, though the lemmyverse has already gotten bigger and has more content nowadays so that's no longer necessary.

  • Cambridge Analytica. Not only did they influence the elections and general political attitude of the Philippines, it also affected US elections as well. I think there was a genocide that was caused by targeted campaigns too, not sure where it happened, though.

  • Unfortunately that would mean that real communities wouldn't be created since that would be used up by someone creating spam communities. Though, maybe limiting the amount of communities that could be made by one account in a certain amount of time? What about verification by email (to send a coherent reason) to the admins to create a community.
